Yes but would you be mad enough to swear at a statue 50 years on?I was there. I would have been mad, as well, if a Sunderland fan

At both of those and prior to that 77-78 gamw when we though UEFA cupHard to believe that was 14 years ago. Remember it like yesterday unfortunately.
At both of those and prior to that 77-78 game when we thought UEFA qualification was likely after getting a draw on last game of season.Remember when we were basically relegated there over Easter in 2012, the true definition of a 6 pointer as Bristol were the side we were in direct competition with - Pissed it down all day, surrendered a 1 goal lead lost 3-1 and relegation was all but confirmed
Gyokeres last minute winner a few seasons ago was a good night though
Winners home to Sunderland on SundayCan someone clarify, please? The Vale Bristol game tomorrow is the 4th round tie? And if so, who do the winners play in the 5th round? I can’t see it anywhere.
Thanks!Winners home to Sunderland on Sunday
I think Wallace did score.I was at the one too (didn’t Wallace score?). Remember it being brutal outside when game finished.
Weve got enough to beat Bristol without Onyeka if need beI'm in two minds about when is best to play this. Saturday is great, one week after our last game, but lesser time for Onyeka to recover, but potentially playing a tired Bristol team from their match against Port Vale in the week. If Bristol win that, then it gets postponed to a midweek game which ,makes it a 3 game week for us but onyeka has longer to recover before Preston at home. Saturday probably better but there are arguments for both.
Is Onyeka injured?
Unless they've changed the rules, it will still treated as a "Saturday 3pm" game and not broadcast. If it's a midweek then it'll be on the 'red button' wouldn't it? If so that's a 'yes' for me
Nice final quote:Found this article re 1977 game.

Sunderland, Coventry, Bristol City: Half a century on a peculiar grudge lingers
Three of the Championship play-off teams have a history, which explains why Jimmy Hill's name may echo around Coventry's away end tonightwww.nytimes.com

Thanks for this. Flicked on DAZN to watch Barcelona v Atleti after the Ipswich game while reading SBT. Your comment prompted me to check and I’m now watching the FA Cup game (with English comms too).Dazn IT 5 according to reddit
Like that?Port Vale scoring a very late winner or winning on pens would do us nicely now I think.
