Agree with Lampard, on his day he's top drawer and looks the type of player who could make the step up. It's fair to say there have been a good few centre backs who have transitioned well from the Championship, some of them even getting an England call up.

He's had a few poor games recently but he was superb for the first 20 or so, I'm not sure how all of our players can be shit yet we're top of the table

I think it's a bit of both. It's obvious in hindsight but I just think he and Kitching are a toxic influence on each other and both thrive with Lati with them, and as Thomas is the better no-nonsense defender, he's being picked.

Agree with this. Both are too rash and get rasher when played together. He’s much better with Lats beside him and will need a similar type of player if he’s going to play if we go up. Think it’s more his threat in the air he’s in the team for though. Our set pieces are noticeably worse without him to aim for, I was quite disappointed at just how bad Woolfenden is in the air.
