Called it that they'd finish around 14th. He's done a decent job there considering where they were last season.
Theyre drawing alot of games really , truth is there are much better squads in the league , theyd do well to finish top 10

Stoke fans turning on MR on their forum.
The true epitome of a shit, boring football club with ideas above their station cause they played the next step down from Rugby in the Premier League for a few seasons

MR is a builder, he is barely a year into the job and they have made positive steps this season and were never going to sustain it this season - They would be stupid to sack him

Whilst I love Mark and everything he did for the club - think there’s enough evidence now across Huddersfield, us and Stoke to show that his ceiling is mid-table championship. Outside of one year where we had Gyokeres and Hamer - all other years he’s had decent enough sides underperforming.
Sometimes a manager suits a specific club. Mark suited us and we suited him.

He flipped his usual purple patch this season. Still time to improve as well.

He didn't do a 'bad' job at Huddersfield per se - They had only just been promoted to the second tier and he steered them clear of relegation in his one full season

The argument of VAR in the Championship is rearing it's head again after the Brum WBA game last night

Really not sure how I feel, we would have had about 4 or 5 extra penalties with it this season but I still can't bring myself to say I want it

You are assuming VAR would make the correct decision on those penalties. Assuming they wouldn’t find something else that happened before. Also you and I are stood around waiting for 5 minutes for them to make a decision, often wrong.

No thanks, absolutely no thanks.

Yup. The Stoke fans are saying Cov fans were right that he’s useless without Adi. Not a coincidence Boro doing so well.

Viveash isn’t the only reason Borough are doing so well. They have definitely improved under the new manager.

Having watched Swansea a bit this season (as they’re technically my local club) I have to say that Vipotnik is a striker who would do a lot better than Simms and Wright for us in the 9 role.

His movement is intelligent, he batters defenders, wins a lot in the air and he can’t half wallop it.
He would be just the kind of striker to breathe fresh air into our forward line.

Which means, obviously, Dean Austin won’t look at him unless his data is on point.

Top scorer by a distance for a team in 15th is some achievement. Would be nice if we had a scout who could identify these players before they’re top scorer in our league on a four year deal tho. Wonder why his last club terminated his contract.

We're hardly spending wild amounts on players, and a significant portion of the spend on our current squad came when we'd just received £30m+ from player sales. Our recruitment has been universally praised as extremely good. Let's not pretend that it isn't.

By who? When? I’ve genuinely not seen any praise for our recruitment since Austin took it over.

And even if you take that receipts into account we’ve spent far more than most non parachute clubs. I’m not going over this again and lol reacts a vague “everyone knows” aren’t an argument.

No I think the interest was reported in 2023/24 season before Vik was sold and he joined Bordeaux

It was the end of 22/23 from what I can see so maybe six months after Austin joined and we were named along with a host of championship clubs the consensus on here seemed to be it wasn’t a valid link. But sure. It doesn’t change my feelings on Austin’s record.
