Thats the way it can go. Scoring after 60 seconds isn’t always down to great play, sloppiness and luck can play a part.

Against us defending was the priority. Against lower placed teams they have to give it a go. They will be more open.

Comparing the two games is like comparing apples and pears.

The argument of VAR in the Championship is rearing it's head again after the Brum WBA game last night

Really not sure how I feel, we would have had about 4 or 5 extra penalties with it this season but I still can't bring myself to say I want it

I think it lessens the game of football as a whole.

It just shifts the area of contention, and removes the spontaneity from the game. That spontaneity is a big part of what makes football by far the best sport on the planet.

Southampton's next 3 league games look a doddle. Can easily see them in the play offs.
They could make the playoffs obviously, but it won't be easy for them. They will probably need 72 this year for playoffs, that's 26 points from 14 games.
There are 3 teams below them having played a game less, who could push them into the bottom half of the table.

Wagners had a stroke.

Dear Blues fans,
We want to share a brief update with you.
Birmingham City Football Club Chairman Tom Wagner recently suffered a stroke. Thanks to rapid medical intervention, he received immediate treatment and is now receiving excellent care. We are pleased to share that he is making a good recovery. While he will be stepping back from day-to-day activity for a period of time to focus on his recovery, Tom remains closely connected to the club, and we all look forward to welcoming him back.
Birmingham City Football Club is incredibly important to Tom and to the entire Knighthead team. Their commitment to the club is unchanged, and our plans and operations continue as normal under strong leadership.
We appreciate your continued support and ask that you respect Tom’s privacy during his recovery.
Thank you, as always, for standing behind the Blues.

I just had a quick look at the report too. Seems that goal in the first minute all came from an Oxford mistake.

So annoying, because they made few mistakes against us. Also reading that Matt Bloomfield said he got the tactics wrong and they played as high and as attacking as they possibly could, so the exact opposite of against us.

You can't just look at the back to back results of two games of the same side.

This shows they set up completely differently to the way they they set up against us

We still didn't create enough though, or test the keeper enough on Saturday, for sure

Shows how shit our result was saturday , they are absolutely fucking crap
Can't play like Oxford did vs us on Saturday every week and get away with it. Unfortunately where we were unlucky (deflection off helik hitting the keeper, Wright miss), Norwich had the delight of Cummings turning into Brad Collins within the first minute of the game.

I prefer human error to not being able to celebrate a goal until some dweebs in a shed have pored over each frame.

The disallowed Newcastle goal against Tottenham yesterday was ridiculous.

Up there with the Haji Wright toe decision.
The standard of refereeing in the Championship is terrible, but don't think I'm for VAR just yet

Cummings is either world class, or shit. There is no in-between.

To disallow goals of this type is anti-football, and a fundamental lack of understanding of what the offside law is there for.

BUT we were doing just that at the start of the season, so what's happened to change it????
I work with a few people that have, or have had, the latest flu virus. Now they're not athletes with access to a dedicated medical team, but they're all complaining of still feeling run down weeks later.

Like Napoleon and that Austrian madman, General Winter may have done for us.

And people pay a lot of money to watch their team score goals not to be scrubbed off by some idiot looking at a screen.

If it's blatantly obvious, then fine.

Let’s talk about Stoke’s absolute drop off… back in their usual position in the table
I remember our 1st vs 2nd game against them. Never thought they'd hang around there but thought they might be in the play off hunt. They've gone off a cliff.

When MR inevitably gets the sack do we reckon Frank and him would be up for a job share?

Lamps takes the first half the season with MR coming in around January for the title charge?
I think it could be first half of matches v second half. Frank gets us ahead with his cavalier approach for Mark to tighten up in the second half.
