Of course.
But to be fair the Citizens have worn our wonderful colours longer than the Sky Blues.
Apparently since 1894 !
I heard the story Jimmy Hill picked Sky Blue because Man City had just won Division One when he became City's manager and changed the kit as part of his modernisation of the club but that's probably just a story & not true.

In 1898 we played in shirts that were half dark blue half sky blue. So not much in it

Man City won the title in 1968. According to Toffs we officially became the Sky Blues in 1962, although we first wore Sky Blue in the 19th century.

Man City have consistently worn sky blue through out their history.

Yes some of our early kits featured sky blue ;(but Man City pre date all of them).

We tended to play mainly in a darker blue and white up until the Jimmy Hill era in 1962.

Didn’t get carried away when we were 13 points clear. Not getting carried away when that’s now whittled down to 2 points (if Ipswich win their game in hand).

We have our best chance of automatic promotion to the Premier League since we went down. That was 25 years ago. I’m still enjoying this season.
I'm sure as hell not! Our form is 17th in the league, against some of the lowest-placed clubs. And the performances show that.

Funny, isnt it? What you could get away with back then.

Imagine a new owner coming in now and changing our colours and nickname.

We had been relatively unsuccessful and underachieved for the size of the city. It was also post war and Coventry City centre was starting to be transformed on a massive scale. People were looking to the future with optimism and hope. Industry was finding its feet again.

It fitted in with the circumstances and the timing was right.

I just know that if we do lose Monday, I am steering well clear of here for at least 24 hours.

Going to be so unpleasant.

Luckily, I fancy our chances, so hopefully it won't come to fruition.
