Can’t remember the last time I felt more pessimistic about a home game. I don’t think Boro will even have to break sweat to beat us. 2 or 3 nil to them.

People said Boro wouldn't be good enough to catch us and it was unthinkable.
People also said Bristol City are the ones to watch out for, when they had their little storm up the table. Then it was Watford. "Watford will make the top 2." Then it was Hull

The point is, things change. Boro are now looking really good. That's undeniable. Teams we thought might threaten fell away. Millwall were really close, but then fell back, but are now up there again..

We obviously need to find a bit of form and there is no guarantee on that.

Boro recruited well, no doubt. We can still beat them on Monday though for sure.

Hoping FL rallies the troops and gets them fired up.

surely they've got to be absolute buzzing for this game, theyd all want to beat boro and beat them well.

need to go back to our pre christmas ways, we know we can play like it, just need to start turning the lock again

for me were switching the side around too much, back the lads, keep players in their positions and push on

Brau hasn't played a lot of games in the Prem league. He isn't called "The tank" He doesn't play defensive midfield.

This post has reminded me of Gary “the pitbull” Deegan

No just not sure a player having a nickname says much about their ability.
I've watched him on YouTube. Think he'll be good for us. We'll find out next Monday, assuming Frank hasn't signed him to sit on the bench, like a lot of others, this season.

We've been knocked off top for the first time in 4 months. Guaranteed to go back top with a win, I don't think we could ask for a better game tbh.

Time for us to take the shackles off, get pumped up and go out there Monday night and get our swagger back.

We’ve been pissing about now. Enough is enough. Get that Phoenix rising, reset and stay a new ruthless streak

Ok - everyone saying Frank "the tank" will sort us out.

Why!? What is saying that he will!?

Why do we assume all of our signings are the second coming of Pele.

People were jizzing themselves hearing we'd signed Brau. He's shit

People saying KKH was an upgrade on MVE because he won a few awards at Preston - yes Preston who were nearly relegated!

He could be a liability and just not fit how we play (what even is that at the moment!?)

Big big big gamble to throw him in now in Monday...
When were people overly excited about signing Brau?

At least we know our manager will be fully up for the battle that now lays ahead. If we didn't get automatic promotion but managed to scrape 6th place, I can't imagine the fans or players would have the confidence or mentality to go and win the Play Offs. Lampard's reputation will be in tatters. However, he has improved so many of our players (up until December any way), and we were playing some truly brilliant football for 3 months. It can be done without doubt. Biggest challenge of Lampard's career some might say

It’s all going to be fine. I do think I’m going to come off here for a couple of weeks… it’s depressing
I have a fair few on ignore who take pleasure in being pure mood hoovers. Once youve done that the forum is far more tolerable

Don't forget! Mboro coaching staff have not seen Frank the Tank play for city yet and will not know how we play him. It will take them at least 15/20 mins to counteract him so we got to score early

Atmosphere and reaction will be absolutely toxic if we lose...
That's because IF we lose, that would be the PERFECT recipe for a toxic fanbase, particularly Cov. Build us up, getting so so so close and then let us down in the most cruel way.

We haven't seen him either as for some reason he never got any minutes on Saturday whether he is a holding midfielder or not he should of got some minutes given he's a premier league player.

Clinging to the fact that The CBS seems to be to them what Deepdale is to us, last time they beat us at Highfield Rd/CBS was at the start of the Premier League relegation season - Although they did beat us at St Ands. in our first Championship season

Then the pessimist in me thinks they are due a win in a big game against us

Look, we had a very good run in October/November and Ipswich away seemed to be one game too far for us, got to hope that the same happens to them with this game

Not writing off our chances at home by any means, the draw is the much better result for them though - I really feel like we need to win this one

He had a chance to look at Onyeka on Saturday.
He didn't.
Think he'd have to change the midfield up a bit to accommodate him - not as simple as just chucking him in with Grimes in the biggest game of our season. That is why it is a risk.
Will he take it...who. Knows.

And people absolutely were thinking Brau was an upgrade on Dasilva without even seeing him play.

Well you've done the same with Onyeka - thinking he won't fit in the team without seeing him play too
Plus FL would've obviously seen how he plays during his Brentford days so must know how he'll fit in

Strangely three of their last four wins have come against ten men. Five of their wins this season have in total.

The Stoke game was particularly infuriating as the only man paying any attention to the game that could not see the player sent off was a walking second yellow was Mark Robins

If you offered me a point I would probably take it to be honest if it came with an encouraging performance and we more than played our part

we can’t lose but I’d be more than content with a point and a good performance for 90 minutes

I also think dropping Thomas and Kitch was a wake up call to them by Frank to get back at it. They would have a had a 2 week break before the Boro game to rest as well.
I'm thinking that as well. Frank's pretty much gone with Kitch & Thomas 1st choice since he's been here. Lati has done really well, but he's always vunerable, playing CB in a back 4. Woolf looks a bit slow in thought & tentative to me. Not had the game time to blend in. Both were barely tested on Saturday. I think he goes back to Kitch & Thomas for Boro.
Thomas & Kitching will be with us next season, whichever division we are in.
Lati & Woolf I don't think will be

I can't see him rediscovering that form this season

He is so clearly playing through a pain barrier with his shoulder, wouldn't surprise me if he actually needs surgery on it and the club did not want to risk losing him for as long as they would have done when he suffered the injury
He scored most of his goals after he did his shoulder last season I think so not sure the shoulder is the problem. More just poor form

I think we sacrificed the right for a point to be an okay result in this game when we failed to beat 23rd place in the League at home

Psychologically I think a win is the only result that is acceptable

If they can come here unscathed and still top of the League what a leg up that will give them going into two games at home against sides in and around the relegation zone, it will give Ipswich a leg up knowing that they are winning their two games in hand from going level on or on more points with us

As for us, a win would do the side a world of good and would lay a marker down to the rest that we are still in this hunt - If we win this I think we go to West Brom the following Saturday and turn them over convincingly

Sheffield United after we sacked Robins and they ended up surprising me that day🤞

Agree with those points mate

there’s definitely an argument that they are due a win against us but then there’s funny feeling that with the chips down we could pull something out the bag

This for me too.

If we play really well, but draw, that would give me confidence for the games to come and WBA away.

We need a good performance whatever. Win, draw, or lose. Whatever the outcome we need to know the team put in their best performance.
