Andrew Kitchen from county Durham is the referee against Millwall. Although nothing official he is likely to support either Sunderland or Middlesbrough. Terrific! No penalty to us there then.

Equally he could support Manchester United or Liverpool, or even Hartlepool or Darlington.

One thing I find refs. don't seem to clamp down on is when player clearly dives in order to try and con the ref. into giving a penalty or free kick on the edge of the box no booking happens.

Sheffield Wednesday just denied a penalty. Player taken out by Doyle just as he’s got his shot off.
If that’s in the middle of the pitch it is a foul every single time.

Newcastle getting a penalty for something that's happened to us about 5 times this season.

There was an Oxford fan online complaining that they were hard done by today.
I mean, christ, they could have had at least 2 others sent off.
He wasn't biased, and certainly not towards us. He was just shite.

Surprised there aren't more posts on that lack of action against their defender, who was already on a yellow and pulled Wright to the ground, yesterday.

100% a yellow card any day of the week. I was stunned when he didn't produce the card. Oggy and Gurney were shocked too

Unbelievable decision not to produce a yellow that would have resulted in the sending off.

They seemed to have cut that out of the highlights package. Wonder if it will be questioned in ref watch in Sky tomorrow

Yes definitely.
I though Brannagan pushed his luck as well.

Talking of pushing it's no good trying to head the ball lately because you get a two handed push in the back and no foul.If you fall over at the slightest touch it's a foul.Rules gone mad.

The one on Eccles was also stonewall, the defender just pushed him down and the idiot ref gave them one the same 10 seconds later, He really was fucking useless
Yeah, I forgot that one. Clear push in the back.

He made some very odd decisions yesterday.

Yes. Thing is on that wrestle of Wright to the ground, was that it was right in front of the ref.

Unbelievable really.
Aren't most incidents right in front of them but their view is different to all the supporters perhaps they should go and see their sponsers

Must confess I'm a little surprised how much stick he's getting from the Oxford lot, calling him our 12th man. There were a couple of soft free kicks in our favour but all the big decisions went for them:

- Brown should have been off for a clear 2nd yellow
- Lankshear was fortunate to only get a 2nd yellow rather than straight red
- Penalty shouts... Need to see these again

Why are you now able to push a player in the back with both hands as they are about to head the ball and no foul is given?
Perfect example in today's Cup game Burton v West Ham .A penalty could have given Burton the lead.

Depends on the referees bias in most cases! " can't have big clubs going out of the FA Cup!"

Good to see that the standard of officials gets shown up. Welcome to our world in the championship where linos don't keep up with play and refs have no consistently.

That man city one was a joke

Villa one two of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen the villa goal and the handball outside the box

That handball yesterday is bemusing - it wasn’t even close - he was two/three yards inside the box from both sides? It’s like they had a brain melt thinking “oh the kick is from where the player kicked the ball”.

Shearer can moan all he likes about VAR, before VAR the pundits were seeing errors like this and were saying ‘the refs need help’ - this just proves it.

Wasn't the linesman right next to it?;

Yeah it’s why it’s so bemusing as to how the ref and Lino both couldn’t see it? Very odd.
I should imagine the linesman told the Referee and the referee overruled cos he didn't want to send the the Villa player off thats why the ref said it was outside the area! The Referees hold too much sway over the key decisions and quite personally Howard Webb should suspend the pair off officials for quite a while

I know but sometimes you do wonder if refs and linos can really be that bad.
I know Nick and it makes me want to say things I could be libeled for😉
