This is insane, match postponed twice, if this happened to us I think we'd want the 3 points too...
You take the rough with the smooth. They were delighted to get a replay against Blackburn when a goal and a player down with 10 minutes to go, yet think they should get 3 points for a game called off hours in advance for the very same reason.

Was wrong about Middlesbrough already (thinking eventually they'd fall away into play off contenders), but I just can't see Hull keeping up this momentum and I still think they're overachieving at the moment.
They have quite a rough March fixture list too - Sheffield Wednesday aside

Can see Middlesbrough, Ipswich and Hull all dropping points this month, so we should still have a massive opportunity to keep that top spot

Having weighed it all up think I would rather have Ipswich played Pompey tonight

Looked a good opportunity for Pompey to get a result, Ipswich not in great form and the re-arranged game is another one they will have Philogene and Nunez fit for

Points on the board is king though, so just make sure we recover some kind of away form in the meantime.

Pompey don’t have fit players so it’s done them a favour

Wow the sense of entitlement from Ipswich fans is embarrasing. Some are calling Portsmouth tinpot for having a waterlog pitch and even saying the Efl should award Ipswich the three points

They really are insufferable entitled wankers

You can't start handing out points based on bad weather
I don't think this is bad weather, it's waterlogged pitch again, this is a facilities issue and they should be heavily fined. There must be a point at which the game cna no longer be postponed, there's already rules allowing the game to shifted back to the away team's venue under certain conditions...

could really do with a cup run for them
Ideally for them to get to the quarters, as that would wipe out their 5th round league game, and also the 2 around Easter for the cup QF

we have 9 games in 7 weeks before the international break, and then 7 in a month afterwards

Ipswich already have an additional league and cup game on top of that so 18 games over effectively 11 weeks .

Out of their 17 league games to go only 7 are at home (and 3 of those are back to back home games) - they have been very average away .

A quarter final run, to postpone a further 3 games would probably finish them off
This all day long.

I want them to beat Tinseltown to get through Round 4, then beat someone like Bristol City in Round 5. Away from home in BOTH rounds to throw the whole headache of travelling into the mix as well.

The opposition strong enough that the game is a right slog and goes to extra time each time, but not strong enough to really inject them with bags of confidence for their "giantkilling" exploits.

Then in the quarters I want them to draw Sunderland, again away for a truly mammoth trek. This time I want them completely battered, 5-nil or such like just to put them back in their place and stop them getting carried away. Possibly one of the few times in my life I'd be cheering the Mackems on. With the resulting fixture pile up, their league game away against Saints gets rearranged for April 15th, meaning we get a week to prepare for them, whilst they get 65 hours.

Any red cards they get from all these cup games would also be very welcome.

Don't want much, do I?

Heard today that it's has been the wettest Jan in 140 odd years (possibly this applies to NI). Shit happens sometimes, can't windmill and look for something to blame all the time.

How bad is the pitch, have wee seen it yet?

I'm convinced our 2023–24 cup run to the semi final and subsequent heartbreak against Man U absolutely torpedoed our chances in the league, players looked unfocused in the buildup and emotionally drained after. 🤞Fingers crossed that the same happens to Ipswich

You can if you aren't looking after it properly.

Same as hull selectively clearing theirs
Wasn't Hull due to safety, specifically the for the lino as the bit that they would have been running on was frozen?

Basically the ref being over zealous in the pursuit of safety.

The reports said the ref cleared the game to be played, that's what the away team have said.

Cos we couldn't play at home because of the pitch the EFL put a 3 point sudpended! A whole bloody year we had that threat over us! Don't see the EFL intervening on this one???

Yeah because they cleared the pitch but not that.
