I liked the Shaun the Sheep song someone made for him but I had a different version going round my head

he’s frank the tank, he’s frank the tank,
And if you piss him off he’ll put you in the stands,
Keep that in mind, Next time you try,
To take him on it’s Frank the tank

Hallelujah!!
No pressure Frank, you've just got to single handedly stem the away day onslaught of the last 2 months and save the hopes and dreams of all the support thus rescuing them from the trauma and crushing disappointment that failure would bring , welcome aboard!
Stop Kitchen doing hari-kari runs out of defence and losing the ball will solve a lot of shite we do to give goals away

To be fair I think he does this after about 10 minutes of pointless passing around at the back due to lack of options.

No don't put it down to you not explaining yourself, he just has an agenda of knowing more than anyone else, and he really doesn't. He is a clever poster but not better.
Awww you think I'm clever

Thanks

Looks a good signing but genuine question,he’ll be coming straight in for Eccles and asked to do the same job, box to box, def an upgrade but how’s it going to make us defend better, our full backs will still be getting caught out and our centre halves will still be nervous wrecks, putting a lot on him ? I mean how does he stop this ?

He is infinitely more athletic than Eccles and has outstanding ball winning stats.

Don’t recall us ever making a signing like this, an expensive loan of a player in their prime.

Maybe we’re going to put him at CB? No amount of tactics will stop a couple of CBs who have all the awareness of what’s around them as Stevie Wonder.

That’s what I mean, could be a brilliant ball winning box to box absolute shithouse of a player, can’t polish a turd though, we all know where the problem is but we don’t seem to have done anything to fix it ? Hopefully a little tactical change away surely 3 5 2 would be perfect with him ?

Hes an experienced premier league player and got great experience at international level. Hes also an absolute unit.
You cant underestimate the effect someone like that has on the dressing room as well as out on the pitch.

The players that are struggling for confidence will now have a leader in the middle of the park. As much as I like Grimes, he isnt the chest thumping physical monster that we have been lacking.

Yeah I think the problem in defence is just as much personnel as it is tactics.
I think weve made a couple mistakes recently at the back but largely i agree , when youre winning away why not manage the game better ? Why not stop the wingbacks getting so high , why not drop somebody next to grimes , tactics are a big part of our recent form

Double pivot of Onyeka / Grimes would certainly help when full backs high and we are caught on the counter.

I think I’m into the fact he’s dropped down a level just to get game time / minutes. He didn’t have to do that and could have just rotted in the reserves at Brentford. I’m assuming he must have a decent character based on this.

Now is not the time for these sort of questions.

Why doesn’t Frank comment on the signings as part of the press release any more ?

Just had a gander at their forum and it's a mixed bag, I don't think him saying he wants to play for Man Utd helped him with fan perception.

I'm excited. At the end of the day they are currently a top 10 side in the PL.

From what I've picked up, his strengths are his engine and ability to break up play and win the ball. If he's good at that (it sounds like it's his other side of his game that has dropped him down the pecking order) in the PL then those strengths will really translate in the Champ.

The gap between the PL and Champ is massive, he may not have the fully rounded game that the PL requires but he'll be a star in the Champ.

Fan opinion isn't the best metric to go by, many people on here are very negative about our fringe players but they would be top players in league one.

Welcome Frank the Tank, smash it!
