I was more thinking of the experience it seems we need in that back line. A Fadz type player if you like. Not someone for the long run, but someone who could dig in, command and get us over the line.

Lampard’s tactical choices will have an exponentially bigger impact on how the rest of the season goes than signing any one player.

That Woolfenden looks like the kind of guy who could do a job. Seasoned pro ,185 games for Ipswich, prem experience and in his prime at 27.
