We'd already fell off by that point performance wise
Slipping, but not this bad, bit early to judge but doubt you’ll be seeing Yang much, for a team that was top of the league and was desperate for some help, we’ve basically signed esse 😳 ( brilliant signing ) Yang ( not sure yet) and the lad whos not ready yet, that’s piss poor

Let's hope we can get a couple of players in by close of business tomorrow.
My view has always been (this season) that FL and the coaches have done a remarkable job getting this team to the top of the league.

Not sure Lampard ever really wanted Woolfy, he only came in at the end of the window, probably because that’s all that was on offer. Lampard was after a Charlie Hughes type: same size and aggression as Thomas and Kitching, but quicker, someone who could really boss the spine. At Ipswich, Burgess was the aerial/ball-playing presence, winning headers, organising the backline, and dominating physically. Woolfy was more mobile and reactive, focused on closing spaces, covering runners, and keeping things tidy. He and Lati looked decent against Southampton, but that was against a small, mobile striker. Woolfy isn’t a liability, but he’s not the combative, imposing type Lampard usually prefers.

Thomas and Kitchen can defend, but that’s about it. They can’t dictate play, carry the ball under pressure, or organise the spine. Pairing them together makes the team predictable and easy to press. Pairing Woolfy with Kitch or Thomas wouldn’t fix it either, Woolfy is tidy, mobile, and reactive, but he doesn’t drive play forward or break a press, while Thomas/Kitch can tackle and hold shape but can’t progress the ball either or organise.

What we desperately need this window is a dominant, ball-carrying centre-back, someone who can organise the backline, take the ball out of defence. That type of player would pair perfectly with Woolfy, giving Coventry a spine that can finally function under pressure.

Just a midfielder I think. Obviously happy to take anyone else in that the club and lamps see fit!

But I refuse to believe our 4 cbs can't start playing well again

The first 2 are OK and the backups quite clearly aren't, with Woolfenden not favoured by Lampard. We need one in.

It would actually be good for Doug to come out, should we not get what we need and let us know who we are targeting. To most fans it looks as if we aren't doing much, others assume we are.

He would build a lot o respect if he came out and said we went for X but it didnt happen as he didnt want to move, we went for X but he wanted too much money.

Barely any football chairman say things like that in public.

No football club talks about individual failed transfer attempts.

I've said for 2 months to play KKH at left back he's quick, tricky and can cross the pissing ball. He's taller which immediately strengthens the left!! He can defend, let's not forget he was brought in to replace MVE.... Prestons player of year, playing on the left... we don't need a LB we have one in him

He needs to be brought in immediately. Lampard and Wolfenden need to sort their shit out as well.

JDS and Kitching are a liability at the back. Every single game they're getting caught out or doing something stupid (doesn't always get punished). They both need to come out of the team.

Problem is he’s started featuring for Sunderland. Absolutely take him however.
He has, but hes second choice to Reinaldo I believe, and when he was away at AFCON he started featuring.

I'd be happy spending money on him, think he would be a good LB for the Prem.
