EMC having a great run of form.
Esse looking decent too, and Sakamoto impressing from the bench.

I'd start Torp and BTA against Norwich in place of Eccles and Rudoni.

7s all round apart from:

Rushworth 8 extra point for that great save at 1-1.
van Ewijk 8 looked good 2nd half. Don't remember anything coming down his side.
Sakamoto 8 super sub. That's 2 goal involvements in 2 sub appearances and helped us win 2 games in 4 days.
Rudoni 6 slows us down by taking too many touches. When BTA is fully match fit, I expect he will be dropped.

Started well and got the goal. Millwall were on top after they equalised. Rushworth save kept us level until the subs came on and took control of the game. Just about deserved that in the end. Millwall are a better team than they'll get credit for.

8.5 Eccles my MOTM. That through ball first half was one of the best passes of the season.

8 Mason-Clarkes work rate has improved so much and made the first superbly.
8 Rushworth’s handling AGAIN. There was one that he couldn’t quite hold at full stretch and that is the exception to the norm.

7 Rest all good. Can’t blame Esse for tiring, his fitness will get there. He’ll frustrate a lot of the old school fans but he’ll be a box of tricks and will make things happen as much as he’ll do the basics badly at times. Looking forward to seeing more.

Huge win in a tough game. Millwall pressed hard but we matched them and when they tired our bench made the difference. Bodes well.

As for Grimes, you hear old pros talking about playing at 60% with injury, i can only think its the same here. Hes played a lot of football but is so integral to us, and my guess is he wants to play every minute

I think some of the comments of Grimes are a bit harsh IMO - 95 passes 75.8 % accuracy suggests he wasn't that terrible, not that stats paint the whole picture!
Esse who certainly looks class - 27 passes 77.8% accuracy - 2 games and folks are cuming in their pants and I think of Bassett here. Early days
Just trying to look positive about a player who is seemingly not performing as he did earlier in the season.

He's having a slight dip in form , christ hes played virtually every minute of every game , I would be worried he wasn't human if he didnt

Subs bench did it again, give FL the depth and he hangs in and brings on the impact subs. The great thing about it is the players who start or who come on doesn't drop the standard. Other team struggle to stop us creating

The issue is the huge gap in front of him that leaves him more exposed.
If he had pace he’d probably be ok, but unfortunately he hasn’t.

Some harshish scores for Lati. I thought as an out and out defender he did well. Colossal in the air for the most part which is impressive for his size. Not an elegant ball playing defender but given FL is clearly happy to be open defensively of late we need a bit of no-nonsense back there. The decision to play him over Wolf is vindicated the last two games against two good sides.

Lati has done well when called upon but it’s worrying that a £4M signing is behind Lati in the pecking order, a player we all thought would be moving on.

That's on Woolfenden though , he should be competing with Kitching and Thomas for a starting place in our best xi. The fact he isn't suggests Lampard and his staff aren't seeing it and to be fair Lati scares me at times but when it comes to the ugly defending I wouldn't choose anyone above him

Rushworth - 7 - dealt with everything well, couldn’t do anything for the goal
MvE - 6 - solid, link up with Esse will come with more games
Lati - 6 - solid, but shaky at times but did the basics well.
Kitching 6 - same as above (aside from when he tried to be prime Messi and we nearly conceded on the counter)
DaSilva - 6 - I know people moan about him being “caught out of position” but he is clearly told whenever we get the ball on the turnover or transition to immediately go and bomb on. Worked very well first half of the year but seems to leave us consistently stretched and kill Grimes. He was alright tonight though.
Grimes - 6 - hard to play CB, CDM and LB - not his greatest game but still fine
Eccles - 6 - ok but the drop off from him to Torp is noticeable, we have considerably less control in the midfield when he plays in the 8 over Torp.
Rudoni - 4 - physically looks gone, has been poor for a while and doesn’t seem to be improving - second half of last year looking more and more like a hot streak rather than who he actually is.
Esse - 8 - great for 60 mins but just lacking match fitness. Best player on the ball at the club already
EMC - 7 - solid today, ran the channels well, great ball for our first
Wright - 7 - Good game, fought well, lucky with the goal but given some of his luck recently he deserves that.

Subs -
BTA - 7 - assist and good energy, immediately had more control in the middle with him over Rudoni
Torp - 7 - see above but replace Rudoni with Eccles
Sakamoto - 8 - having Esse to deal with for 70 mins and then Tats must be hell on earth for a LB. Two games in a row his good play has led to game winners.

Im inclined to say it’s horses for courses and there is a place for Wolf as a ball player in the right game. But… he hasnt looked great so far (but I always say any player needs a run of seven or eight starts before you can judge) and moreover I’m sure I read that Frank mentioned Lati impressed in training when asked why he started v Leicester which I took as a between the lines dig at Wolf (ala Bassette). Might be miles off but I wouldn’t be shocked if Wolf thought he’d walk into the side and might not be fully in.

Rushworth - 8 - kept us in the game
MVE - 6 - attacking work is great, needs more help defensively
Lati - 5 - Passing poor, didn’t win his headers, looked slow. Woolf must be so bad if Lati is playing ahead of him.
Kitching - 5 - Passing poor, didn’t win his headers. Gave the ball away twice which led to chances.
Dasilva - 5 - shocking header nearly gifted them a goal, poor closing down on their goal, Azeez dominated him. Redeemed by header off the line.
Grimes - 5 - another poor performance. Pass completion lower than usual and struggled massively to keep up every time they countered.
Eccles - 6 - solid game. Didn’t get on the ball enough for my liking. Can tell he’s not as confident on the ball as Torp - needs to learn to slow it down when the game is getting hectic.
Rudoni - 4 - Christ. Worst game in a Cov shirt. Can’t remember anything good he did.
Esse - 7 - should’ve had 2 but I’m a big fan of the lad. Can tell he’s not match fit.
EMC - 8 - Firmly putting himself in player of the season running. Such a good outlet. Should’ve ended the game with 2 assists but unluckily for him has 0.
Wright - 8 - Sorry for calling you shite mate ❤️

Tough game Wright,EMC,Rushworth,Saka,(Esse first half), all decent Grimes worst game in a Sky Blue shirt, but never stopped trying.BTA should of sealed it.We got ripped apart at times as the game was to open but 3 points was won so I'll take it.
