I have read somewhere today - unfortunately I didn't bookmark it - that the decision on Leicester's alleged breaches of the rules is due this coming week or the week after. It was suggested that they would get a deduction of six points.

It may just be speculation of course.
Assuming that's just the PL one with the EFL one to follow ? 6 points clearly isn't enough due to their non cooperation .

North Leics…...unfortunately
Anything from 6 points upwards leaves them with a relegation fight on their hands...marvellous! We are privileged to be witnessing the self destruction of a once average east midlands club. It's taken years but karma rarely forgets....

No wonder the likes of Birmingham think its worth the risk taking the absolute piss. 6 points would be absolutely fuck all for these persistent cheating pricks.

Its tricky because you don't want to punish fans for the action of, in many cases former, owners but equally you can't just let clubs break the rules with little punishment.

You also have to factor in that many fans have no remorse over breaking the rules. I was living in Portsmouth when they went bust for the 3rd or 4th time and there was thought to be a real possibility they would cease to exist. There was still plenty of fans who said the FA Cup win and nights of European football were worth it.

As long as cheating gets rewards and no effective punishment there's nothing to discourage the likes of Wrexham & Birmingham from doing the same.

6 points deduction for Leicester pretty much guarantees no play offs.
I can't see anything other than a rapid financial decline if they're in the championship for another 2 or 3 seasons.

Going to be great to watch.

They'll still get another parachute payment next season which is more than our budget.

This is Capology's estimation of championship wages - the green tick means verified.
Should never be taken as fact, but maybe useful as a rough guide.
See how many Leicester players are on enormous salaries !
CCFC only appear at 25k (Simms and Wright)
Quick tap on thre calculator and that equates to just over £67m for the season. This is exactly the reason that I believe all the governing bodies should get together and enforce clauses being inserted in every single players contracts that upon relegation a wage reduction is initiated. I this example a 15% reduction would save just over £10m instantly and probably encourage one or two of the more overpriced ones to seek employment elsewhere. Obviously that a generalisation and would need a lot more thought than I have given it.

But as it's Leicester in trouble i'm happy it isn't a thing. Would love them to get slapped with a 6-9 point deduction, however I feel like they will weazle their way out of it.

I dont think that's going to help them.
Especially if they can't offload some of their current big earners.
I'd imagine their ST uptake is going to be hit as well going by the number of actual attendees against Albion.

As above, they have already borrowed money against next season’s payments.

Again, I never suggested once that they were and I don’t know how people have come to that conclusion

But if you think, with nothing to play for after under performing all season that their fans would be happy to take a few points off Boro or Ipswich and advantage us, you’d be incorrect

If the roles were reversed I would not want us to lose regardless, and I imagine the majority of Leicester fans will think likewise come those particular games.

If the Prem charges are 6 points they can expect at least the same from the EFL charges. If they get a 12 point deduction they really are in the shit and would be in the bottom 3 as it stands.

I don’t think prem points can be applied in the efl so they would be suspended but efl points should be at least 50

There's a great video of their fans at the end of the match last night. Can't find it now though.

I think they lose them if they get a points deduction but I'm prepared to be corrected on that.

Consider yourself corrected.

I believe that the only way the payments stop early is if they get promoted back, or go into administration.

There is no action if they get relegated again, receive a points sanction or (rather annoyingly) breach PSR rules.
