Buying a shirt just doesnt appeal as you get older. Pricing and the constant replacements is money making gone too far)

In saying that delighted with what happened yesterday. Got stadium train station at 10:03 and saw signs for the offer. Probably got into the Fanzone at 10:15. Told by a security person wouldnt get one with the queue but had nothing better to do and persisted with it. Just about got into the place guaranteeing a shirt sometime after 11 then a bit longer wait after that. Had a nice chat with a couple of early 20's people.

The colour is very bright but actually looks good on.

Used my ticket Ipswich exchange voucher for two beers afterwards. A very worthwhile experience and excellent use of my time.

A great day yesterday, shirt 0.01 GBP deal, two free beers and most importantly a somewhat fortunate 3 points( ok we deserved minimum one but in my view two penalties by referee).

BTW, dont buy shirts but do buy discounted Coverntry City shorts as more practical and have loads.
Can we have the same deal for shorts next game or Oxford!!!!

I heard someone in the club shop moaning because the shirts were advertised as being available from “10am” and she arrived to find a queue. Her daughter had her heart set on getting the shirt.

Firstly, did you really expect to arrive at 10am and just get a shirt ?
Secondly, if it was that important to your daughter, buy one at full price

Madness.
The world that some people live in

Did anyone get given the wrong size?

I have a kids small and it should have been a child’s medium and I didn’t check 🙈 if anyone wants to swap let me know 👍

Wearing football shirts isn't my thing as I'm an adult but if someone wants one and it will cost them a penny then why shouldn't they queue up for a bit if they want to?

The club will probably have got some money from Monzo for potential lost sales and Monzo will have got a load of new accounts foir their figures so everyone is a winner.

Someone always bites

I'm with you a little on this. Being brought up on games in the 80's resulted in a mindset that adults that wore replica shirts were distinctly uncool, which is something that still sticks with me a bit, even though I do possess a few shirts, mostly brought me as birthday or christmas gifts. Obviously times have changed and a majority wear shirts to games now, but doing so as a slightly overweight 60 year old just doesn't sit well with me :)
