Think it's more to do with fact the OP is hugely disrespectful to Haji wright and poor form or not this thread title is embarrassing. It shouldn't exist

I agree he's not been good and today was what we do wanna see from him. But it could have just gone I n his normal player thread instead of so much vitriol

Thread title is very poor. No two ways about it.

If he just left the ball today we'd have all said why didn't he make sure .
I expect a striker to stick his foot in there, I’d be disappointed not to see my striker do that.

His all round performance was excellent.
He did well in his 25 minutes.
But the reaction to Wright's performances is becoming bizarre. Hero to zero to hero again in the blink of an eye.

Let's be brutally honest, after starting the season superbly, and finding the net at will, hes actually been very poor for the last 3 months.

Its going to take more than ac25 minute cameo to convince us that hes back to his best.

Lampard basically said himself he's frustrated like us that Haji isn't like that all the time

I thought the lack of celebration was cause he was expecting to be offside or trying to con the ref that it was already in by not celebrating/claiming the goal

I don't think we should diss Haji's goal as just being a two inch tap in. I've watched it multiple times and I'm still not sure whether Sakamota's shot was going in or not.

Haji positioning and timing was superb, enabling him to be in the right position without being offside. He would have got a lot of stick from some on here if he had left it.

I don’t think it was going in either.

A tap in is the ideal goal for a striker, being in the right position is a skill in itself that a lot of people overlook.

I agree, it’s not clear Sakamoto’s shot goes in so why wouldn’t you want a striker to make sure?

Good game tonight similar to Simms stepping up his physicality and effort. Imagine both of them doing it all the time. Would be insane.

Really good again tonight. This is the Haji we need for the remaining games.

You shut the fuck you sausage, if it wasn’t for me we wouldn’t have triangle corner flags.

If he carries on trying like that then brilliant he’s earning his 20k a week.
Would you forgive a lower earner, say a £2k a week lad for not trying?
Or is his wage irrelevant? Or is his wage worth it for two massive game winning goals in 4 days?

All big questions.

How many times over the past couple of seasons have both Simms and Wright had poor/barren spells.... and been relentlessly slated, calls for them to be sold, etc

Fans never learn.

They probably aren't going to cut it should we go up, but at this level they are clearly up to it.
