I can't see if being financials stopping the Manneh deals.

Both us and Birmingham would have been offering much more than he's on now, I doubt he's then saying "Actually no, I want more".

Surely has to be the age thing with Manneh

Both clubs must have done a medical on him and found hes about 10 years older than he claims

Think it was mentioned above but I swear the likes of Kanu, Jay Jay Okocha etc were all older than their stated age? Or is that some early noughties rumour?

Kendry Paez, is apparently being recalled by Chelsea for an English loan. Would imagine this will be Championship. Widely regarded as the best South American talent of a generation.....

Interesting comments from the Olympiakos forum just around when the deal fell through:

Manneh says he has no problem and the issue was financial. That is, he came to Greece without having agreed, not that he was found 35 years old instead of 20 let's say. Hey, make sense of it. Here, when he arrived at the airport, he said "the Champions League is a dream come true", while he would not play this year. Phaedon is nice, have a good time on the way back.


The salary was different from what we had agreed. I was told that I get paid every 3 months. For example, in January, February and March I would take them at the end of March. During this period I would only receive 1,000 euros until this period of three months. And this salary was not satisfactory.

This guy is upto no good he, agent or his club are trying to sell something that is easily found once a closer look is taken.

Bad clown fuck by the sound of it, stay well away.

My Sister was married to a Gambian guy, he never got a birth certificate and genuinely didn't know his true age/ D.O.B. just wasn't something families out in the sticks bothered about in the 70s/80s.

I went over in the mid 00s and it really was clear how it happens. I've not seen poverty like it.

Not so much an issue in normal life but you can see how it would be tempting to fudge the numbers in your favor if you have to guess anyway!

I think everyone understands if this is the case But after multiple tries you would think he or someone around him would stop trying to sell him as a young kid.

Its fraud plain and simple and all around him know it, so i don't feel sorry for the player or the person. He is out of poverty now, he needs to grow a pair and except that clubs will have ways of finding out. If this truly is the case he and his team are a wondering clown show that should be reported and stopped.

Oh yeah for sure, I would imagine there are deeper layers to it, agents and middle men in the ears of players. Would be an interesting investigation.

My post was more just some context of how they can even begin to fake a DOB
