I know I'm in the minority, but take out the two awful bits of defending and I'd say we've looked decent.
We've looked shit. Half the team we were only 6 weeks ago. But we're still the better team today, even playing poorly. Shows how shit these really are. Yet the only thing that matters is how many times you put the ball in the back of the net. And since BTA has been out, thats something we've completely forgot how to do!

Looks like these players aren’t interested in being an automatic promotion team. Devoid of any footballing brains.

The squad is too small. Only really one forward on the bench. Grimes looks jaded and with Rudoni seemingly well behind what we saw last year few midfield options.

We created a fair few opportunities to be honest but defence is all over the place. The two full backs can’t keep playing so far up the pitch.

I’m reverting to my former ‘we’re not going up’ self. It feels lighter on the head.

Our defence have been so disorganised. Thomas and both fullbacks have been particularly bad.
I think if we could get an early equaliser, we would go on to win. However, they look just as likely to get the next goal.

It’s hard to have any optimism that we’re going to make the autos at this point. Points gap is still relatively healthy but it’s only going to decrease every week with this level of performance.

Rudoni needs reminding that he isn’t Zidane.

I wouldn’t be against Andrews getting some minutes here - his energy has been good in his few sub appearances - we need some more dynamic running in midfield.

That was fucking awful.

MvE a liability, EMC and Rudoni completely ineffective, and again, always the wrong option taken when in a good position. That latter bit is pissing me off now.

And it's so slow, always giving them the option to be set in defence; we just don't move teams around and create the space.

Yes. It's been a reasonable standard outside of the horror defending.
We have dominated possession because they are letting us have the ball and just want to hit us on the counter. We look like a mid table side going through the motions. You wouldn't even think this is a local derby. When we do have possession in good areas were are pedestrian wanting to have too many touches. Allowing them to get back behind the ball.

Think we've been ok really, the stupid mistakes aside. Created enough to be leading at half time. Kitchin header goes in and everyone would be happy and sat we are cruising

Fuck me Frank you need to start earning your money that was fucking dreadful ...whats happened to us you can't blame tiredness because they have played the same as us.. fucking motivate us because we can't score 2nd goals at the mimute
Earn his money? We're top of the league FFS. Our squad compared to other teams going for promotion has zero depth. He needs to be properly backed at this point.

They are pressing well unlike us.
I assume FL is telling us not to do it because of fatigue in the squad.

But they're doing it well, and I think they know they can because the likes of Rudoni holding onto the ball means they don't get caught on the break when they do. Earlier in the season teams would have been afraid to do that because we'd invariably get them on the break. Never thought I'd be saying that having BTA out and Rudoni back was a problem for us.

also think a lot of our players are slipping on the surface.

Very disappointing first half. Where's our work rate and intensity?
Its gone .. players look scared to attack or take risks , we look slow and ponderous its all very late 2024 for me this .

All teams have squad difficulties we have to keep playing our game , we are blowing our lead nicely

HOWEVER , i think we will win 3-2😂

A lot of BTA’s goals looked easy but it was him ratting around the box following the ball that got him goals. Don’t have that atm and seem to have to work very hard to even fashion a chance. Great goal by Eccles, need more of that.

Don’t think it was half as bad as the comments on here. Defensively poor but we’ve had plenty of control otherwise and I wouldn’t be surprised if we go on to win this. They’ll feel confident and like it’s there for the taking.
