Just imagine us signing someone at 12:01 tonight. Could they in theory play against Charlton tomorrow?

More likely though is we will string out any signings for a few more weeks to keep the wage bill down. The biggest indicator of someone coming is if a loan or two goes out fairly quickly in the window.

Confused why everyone is saying Ferguson on loan is impossible? He’s had a poor spell at Roma, not getting a look in at Brighton. His other prem options probably come down to someone like Burnley/West Ham and outside of that it’s another loan abroad but likely to a club a tier below the likes of Roma so would probably be around us in terms of spending power. Come here, score 7-10 goals second half of the year and get some confidence back isn’t that mental of a sell to him.

West Ham had him last season and barely used him. I really don’t think it’s beyond the realms of possibility.

Thought that might've been the case but couldn't actually remember it happening (probably says a lot about the spell). Won't hold it against him as playing up front for West Ham is apparently the hardest task a footballer can do.

Game every 4 days or so in Jan. Really hope we aren’t stringing signings out those 6 league games is a quarter of all our remaining games.

We need players who can get us to the Prem nothing else. After we get there, we’ll have a totally different squad anyway, but the important thing is getting there, NOTHING other matters
Completely agree. All this Premier League ready signing stuff is delusion. When Ipswich went up a couple of years back I think they signed about 6-6 players in Jan to get them over the line. Al Hamadi from Wimbledon was one. They never had any intention of him being a Premier League player.

He's currently playing regularly for the team 4th in Serie A and in the Europa League. Why on earth would he drop down to the championship?

Roma rumoured to be after Raspadori and Zirkzee - so not beyond the realms of possibility that Ferguson's loan is cut short.
It's very likely it gets cut short as gasperini doesn't rly rate him

But that's not same thing as coming to cov of course.

Isn't it nice to be linked to players at Roma rather than Leyton Orient(love you always Kelly) though?

I think they have to be registered no later than noon the previous day.

Go and review what their manager has said about him
“He’s on the right path.

“He has the advantage of being very young. He must aspire to have the desire and determination to be where he is.

“We’re talking about Roma, who have had some very important centre-forwards.”
Clearly wants him gone!!!!!!

While we are taking about Serie A strikers. Just seen Lorenzo Lucca linked to Watford.

Struggled this season but was once very much hyped as having huge potential.

We could in theory sign someone now they just couldn’t register until tomorrow right? I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more if so.

He's not playing regularly for them and the manager has been critical of his attitude at the club . They don't want him.
Why would his attitude be better here.

Love your defeatest attitude ;)
It's not defeatist. I'm just disagreeing with your opinion on a player. He's the stereotypical good in the Championship not good enough for the Prem.

In the season he played in the Prem he scored 2 goals.

In the last 4 seasons he has missed 50 league games which is a similar amount Sheaf missed and everyone said he's a sick note.

Not worth the transfer fee Norwich want or wages he would want if we are looking for Prem quality players.
