Shall we go through all the passes Grimes misplayed tonight as well and declare him to be incompetent as well?

I wish all refs (and all players) were as consistently good as Grimes but the reality is they’re not, so you either accept that sometimes you will be on the wrong end of that, or you can spend the entire match thread hammering yourself in the face about how it’s all a conspiracy and they should all be sacked tomorrow.

I'm not sure Grimes has made a mistake in his career as bad as the Sakamoto decision tonight.

It's not a conspiracy, but it's immeasurably frustrating when decisions are consistently going against us.

There have been some honkers this season, and a lot of big, game-changing decisions have gone against us recently.

What has our league position or points tally got to do with it?
We're consistently on the wrong end of very poor decisions.
Yes, and all I’m trying to say is that there’s nothing sinister behind that. Unless you disagree?

If there is indeed a league-wide conspiracy to prevent us from going up then our league position is a pretty good argument against that imo.

theyfoul he gave against emc when furlong just lay down and even emc had a go at him for faking it annoyed me just as much

I'm not saying there's a conspiracy, I'm saying we're consistently on the wrong end of very poor refereeing desicions, our league position is irrelevant.

If you think we're not I'd like to hear how you've come to that conclusion.

Against Ipswich alone we've had the Hirst non sending off and tonight's penalties not given.

no one is saying there is anything sinister, just the ref made some awful decisions, decisions he made because he shit at his job and not because he is currupt

They had a player kick the ball away after the whistle in the first 2 or 3 minutes. No card, absolute fucking joke
to clarify to sbt I am not saying this is corruption but do refs have an conconsious bias towards teams that have come down from the PL?

seem to get less decisions against them

It's pretty common knowledge that Ipswich have got away with loads of major decisions this season.

Will be interesting to see if it continues into the second half of the season.

When I trained as a ref, admittedly not recently, our trainers said that while there was no prejudice against specific clubs, they admitted to having it against certain players and managers.

yeah, it’s the lack of consistency that’s pissing me off. If you’re going to let the physical stuff go then how come Kitch gets booked for first foul for a 50/50 where he was just beaten to the ball 🤷‍♂️. Furlong all over EMC, nothing, EMC leans into him, ref blows up.

There are some posters who flip flop between wumming, pretending to be the good guy and being argumentative for the sake of it. Not sure if they think it makes them popular or they think they're funny or cutting edge. They're certainly none of them and I'd wager makes others than just me want to engage less.
