Still buzzing from yesterday, favourite away day this season. Proper squad effort, love it and loved the Agro, Joe Edwards shoulder bump going under radar also - come on city!

chance to reflect -

it’s a penalty he falls on haji, also red card.

JDs was outstanding before red card, nailed on red, just got it wrong

Lati, wolf, bidders, Brau! Brau! - to a man outstanding effort given respective game times.

Southampton awful fan base and given the expense on that team, wow. Pony.

Ipswich game is huge, we win that………….. 👀

The Xmas period may be tough with squad sickness. I'd be surprised if players return earlier than 2 weeks once they get this nasty flu strain.
I think the rule for postponing due to sickness is less than 14 players fit including 1 keeper. As signed off by doctors.
Guess we're not that far off tbh.

Yeah, my favourite away day so far this season too. Watched the whole game when I got home. What a performance.

Hats off to the FL Paper this morning for their headline. Screenshot_20251221_083730_PressReader.jpg

Let’s be honest, the opposition needs us to have superflu running through the squad, players sent off, dodgy referees etc to get results against us.

We seem to be the only side in the league with this outbreak though?

1st half we were brilliant, with 10 men we were awful and couldn't get hold of the ball, same away at Luton last season. Preston went down to 10 the other week and were the better side.

Forgot to add. Really like the Brau song too. Very catchy.

We’ve got to win that
What’s our record winning streak at home?

He’s given it back to opposition fans before. It’s great to see.
I bloody love it! I think yesterday’s shenanigans both showed our team spirit and will further strengthen the bond…loved seeing the team come over and interact with the fans immediately afterwards.

But the jibes and the singing about him obviously get to him. Which, given his career, is interesting.

People don’t like him. I’ve got mate of mine constantly giving me shit about him. A Welsh, Arsenal supporting mate of mine I hasten to add…’Yes Cymru’ my arse!

TBF I wasn’t a big fan of his before he joined us. I fucking love him now (as I did Robins before him).

no they weren't at all.

Yeah, they had a 10 min spell after we scored and they had nothing to lose and some momentum. Other than that we had all the ball and majority of the efforts on goal. Wasn’t their keeper MOTM as well ?!

Yesterday we just had to dig in with half a team missing/still recovering from illness and down to 10 men. If anyone doesn’t see that as a great point/gritty defensive display they need their heads reading

The phrase "I absolutely couldn't disagree with you more" somehow feels inadequate but I absolutely couldn't disagree with you more.

Preston were not the better side. They had 10 minute spell where they lumped it long. We’ve tried to continue playing yesterday, it’s hard!

Lampard was the more successful of the two anyway
And a better player in my opinion...Chelseas all time top goalscorer FROM MIDFIELD...The premier leagues all time top midfield goalscorer and 4th highest number of assists...He should be Englands highest capped player too because he was a more influential midfielder than Gerrard, again in my opinion...Gerrard was a good club player but it never seemed to transfer to the international team...the best I ever seen him play was the 5-1 win against the Germans..he was incredible that day so got picked for many more caps as did Barnes in that game against the Brazillians

Slight over reaction .
It was mistimed and late , he had won a lot of tackles first half doing exactly the same thing
It was reckless. It changed the dynamic of the game. JDS has been really good but at 1-0 up seconds into the 2nd half, there is no need to fly in like that.

Reckless would result in a yellow card offence. It was serious foul play which is why the red was shown. But the point being there was no need to fly in like that is true.

Can we all agree the screeching on the PA pre game of when the saints come marching in was tin pot

It is such an awful, dreary song. Spurs sing it too. Dreadful.
