Lampard could have changed the formation to a back 3 or given Perry the nod but has chosen to go with Lati, he must be showing enough in training to get the start.

I think the bigger issue is the fact they haven’t really played alongside each other yet.

Hopefully both will do a job.

Yeah I think his main weakness is being put under pressure with the ball at his feet.

In theory, he should be able to find early passes to Grimes and Wolf so hopefully not too much of a problem.

He’s a brave lad so if we have to defend the box I think he’ll do okay in that situation.

Seems a little drastic at the back, but neds must. This game before a Xmas period is the one we can let go so save Thomas, Kitch and Saka for then, let them recover. Eccles job is to help shore up midfield release Rudoni to do his thing and if we attack well there is some hope there. At least don't lose badly.
