Atmosphere (7 Viewers)

It’s always a mirror of the team. When we’re attacking and playing well the crowd is up. When we’re don’t have the ball or keep fucking the pass the momentum doesn’t build. Add in top of the league nerves, no beer, and it being winter which I insist quiets the crowd cos of all the gloves.

We've been winning in most games and the atmosphere has been poor really. We've had £3.60 pints too!

We're too good now. That is the simple truth.

Atmosphere is caused by tension. There isn't any tension anymore. There hasn't been a single home game this season where we didn't look like winning.

The reason the atmosphere has dropped can be linked directly to the fact that no one gets on the players backs anymore. Three home games in a row we go behind, and whilst losing the crowd just carried on as normal, because they knew we would win anyway.

God willing we'll be in the Premier League next season, and the players will need all the help they can get. I'm sure in those games the crowd will respond accordingly.

I think everyone should just enjoy this incredible season for what it is. It might be the last time for 34 years that we're in this great division.

And in that game where we finally do it, I think the atmosphere in that game will be unlike anything the CBS has ever seen

You would think so but promotions and titles can be weird. For instance the team plays a crap game loses, then you find out someone else lost and it's oh we are up. It's not always the mega party and a stella performance with people swinging from the rafters.

They all had the chance to move over but didn’t for a strange collection of reasons that basically amount to stubbornness for the sake of it lol.

I hate to agree but I agree. If the atmosphere generators in singers corner moved to the south stand, they’d be closer to the away fans which would quash the ‘away fans are too far away’ line. It doesn’t help having a smaller away following in the corner and then a load of new fans in between singers corner and the away section to act as a fun sponge between the two.

The whole reason singers corner didn’t move was because the nonce drummer said he wasn’t moving for whatever twisted reasons and a lot of our fans are more sheepish than a Welsh leisure centre. The loss of Gyokeres/Hamer/COH and their songs hasn’t helped at all and the lack of decent new songs for new additions. The EMC song is a football league copy and paste before anyone says that!

Can whoever came up with the Gyokeres song please return to writing original-ish chants?!

The atmosphere this season has been shit by and large, which is a huge disappointment considering how well the lads are playing.

I imagine if we do get promoted back to the Premier League, the atmosphere will pick up as we'll be the underdogs again fighting for every point, similar to our return to the Championship.

You just hope home games aren't eventually too diluted with plastic fans who just want to see a Premier League game or the away teams players

Shouldnt be the case with the amount of season ticket holders we already have though, arent we up to about 24k now? so there can only be about 4-5k plastics + away fans

Ibrox is like the moon without The Union Bears, unless it's a European night or against the other lot.
It's similar at a lot of grounds.
Love em or hate em, No Altras no atmosphere.
Most team's now are trying to create a singing section, yes we had one, but needs a rethink.

I wish the ground was more intimidating personaly.

I used to hate the idea but starting to come around to it.

Doesn't need to be tacky, just a more organised group keeping it going like 3 years ago. Would need a better drummer😂

Calling people plastics who can't afford season tickets or have other commitments like work or family is a bit harsh. Not everybody can make every game

Yeah Parkhead has been a morgue while the Green Brigade are on suspension.

I used to hate ultras but i'm coming around to the idea

Are they? What is it this time what have they done apart from supporting Palestine?
Handbags with Stewards and Coppers who were being rather too forceful with their ticket checks. No one from the stewards and coppers but you know how it is, you react to it and it's you that gets punished.

If you look at what i replied to it was a post about people coming to watch the other team etc... nothing to do with people that cant afford or have season tickets.

Funny how a lot more people dont have work commitments now though compared to say 7 years ago when we were in L2.
