I'm not convinced, it's close, he'd made some massive saves but I think people are forgetting the massive saves Dovin made in that run the end of last season, he was virtually MOTM in every game. Rushworth has made some great saves at key points though. Dovins distribution is miles better.
It’s not close, Rushworth is the far superior keeper.

Dovin is a good keeper and an excellent prospect. Both are good shot stoppers. I just think Rushworth commands the six yard box better. But not much to choose between the two.

People forgetting just how good Dovin was pre ACL, if he comes back the same player we need to file a petition to be able to start 2 keepers.
Dovin for me edges it, Im not convinced with Rushworths distribution still but he’s a quality keeper at this level
I agree with the distribution, at times we lose the ball through Rushworth. But some of the saves have been brilliant

Both Dovin and Rushworth are good, but I somehow feel safer with Rushworth in there. It's not based on ability but mote on trust I think and consistency. Perhaps even as he's a few years older. Need 2 top class keepers for the Prem, so I'd definitely sign Rushworth on a permanent either way.

I'd rather have a keeper who keeps the ball out of the net but gives the ball away a couple of times a game than a keeper who is great with his feet but poor with his hands.

All of our keepers have elements of their game which they excel at and elements which require improvement.

Rushworth is now distributing better than he did when he first came, looking for the quick release counter whereas before he’d not. It doesn’t always work but it keeps opponents on their toes. I’d like him to call for the ball more and hopefully that par if his game will too improve. I’d like to think he’s taken the elements where Wilson was quite good and begun to add them to his own game.

Tne Wilson bashing I don’t understand. After a long career of sitting and waiting he won a golden glove and subsequently got new keepers purchased ahead of him. He had to sit by and watch clown Collins. He saw Dovin come in. Has he moaned or just been an effervescent positive character in the squad? A lot of keepers would have thrown a strop.

Rushworth has now clearly overtaken Wilson where before he wasn’t the finished article. Nothing wrong with admitting that, but let’s give Wilson some credit for being a solid squad member and “team” player.

Nobody has ever denied Wilson is a great person to have around the team. However to say he is good enough to be in a top end championship team on ability alone is a bit of a stretch.

Rushworth is more Commanding in the penalty area (prefers to catch crosses than punch).

Rushworth has always been far, far superior to Wilson, to say otherwise is just nonsense.
