Seasoned ash, beech and oak is best if you can get hold of it.

Here's my log store, mostly ash and beech.

Where is it you live again? And is your back gate padlocked? Asking for a friend.....

I've been getting small bags of logs from bandq and the coop near us but might get them from a proper supplier

I’ve had both a log burner and open fire in recent years. Although the log burner is way more efficient you can’t beat the visual effect of an open fire.

I also burn ovals which is a decent supplement to the logs. Basically it’s coal but smokeless.

Expensive way of doing it boss but needs must until you find a decent regular supplier.
