I thought Sheff Utd had already signed somebody in their 30s who had a great strike record a few years ago in Ings, seems they want more of it. Albeit, Bamford has got a lot more to his all round game.

It was done as a favour to him and at least we got a good look at him.

I don’t really have a problem with it given we’ve just played them and Sheffield United aren’t bothering us for a playoff or promotion spot. If he does end up playing brilliantly for them, it’ll be mostly at the expense of other teams we’re competing with, not us. We got what we needed out of the arrangement, which was a warm body who’ll train to a certain standard.
