Win Tuesday we go into the break top whatever and hopefully come out the other side with a mostly fit squad.
I enjoy your random flips between bringer of doom and massive optimist 😆 but I do like this one. Beat the Blunts and Stoke becomes something of a free hit before the break. You'd hope we'd have a full squad after that, then we just need to avoid any huge injuries before Jan where I'm sure we'll spend again.

Go to Stoke with something closer to a first choice 11 and we come away with something.

I agree. Is it wishful thinking to hope Rudoni is back? Lampard was saying hopefully before the next international break unless I'm mistaken? I'm getting strong after the break vibes though.

I get the feeling he’s been trying to get through to the break with ‘the rest’ but hopefully he’s seeing that Jamie Allen is a good option off the bench, not to start alongside Grimes on his own.

For Sheff Utd, COH is the man in form and I’d rather not leave Allen to contain him. If neither are fit to start give Torp and Eccles a half each alongside Allen at least. We’d have seen Rudoni on the bench by now if he was close.

MVE/JDS back in. Bobby if ready.

however the key change is back to a proper midfield 3 - torp and Eccles in for Allen and Bta/emc.

this is a must to gain control.
I can see an argument for Wright dropping out and BTA up front rather than EMC or Sakamoto being dropped. He needs a rocket up his arse.

It’s more “WERE GOING TO WIN YHE LEAGUE as long as we don’t fuck it up first”. Like I think we’re in with a good shot at autos but that raises the bar for what’s needed above what we normally do.

Don’t disagree. However would rather simms as the main striker. Not a role would trust BTa in personally. His hot streak has been exception to his normal rule.

simms did ok again Friday, at least moved around!

Actually think Wrights the man for this game as their CBs are clumsy as fuck (including Tanganga) and would probably like a striker like BTA or Simms to play against more than a trickier player than Wright. He does need to pull his socks up but hopefully Lampard has kicked his arse since Friday.

I agree if he plays I reckon he scores, I just reckon if you're getting another midfielder in he's been by far the shittest of the front 4 recently. As you say, hopefully Lampard has told him about himself.

Eccles did a great job on O'Hare last season at the CBS. Smashed him as soon as he got the ball. I would expect a big response from the team from Friday, and it's under the lights at the CBS + atmosphere should be good.

No KKH, Allen, Bidwell, Woolf or Wright in starting 11 please. MVE, Eccles, Da Silva, Thomas and Simms in their place.

Hopefully Friday was just Woolfenden being a bit rusty. Also didn't help that we had two different full backs.

If MVE and Dasilva come in then even if Thomas isn't fit enough we'll be a lot more solid and Woolf will have a better game.

Far too early to be writing him off, he played 15 odd games in the PL last season.

Yeah, he's shown he is a good defender over the last few years.

Simms came on in the 67th minute vs Wrexham so he got a chance didn't he? He got no service either, so again, the problem here is service from midfield and too open at the back, goals come no matter what we do. Wright should start.

We’ll be fine Tuesday, Sheffield Utd are decent going forward but they haven’t got a player like Moore we struggled to mark, it‘ll be, Thomas, MVE and da silva back in, Torp in for Allen and the rest the same, more than enough to win this one

It's unfair on BTA given his form before Friday but I think we should play our strongest team, and for me that doesn't include him, as I think Wrexham have shown other teams the vulnerabilities of us playing all 4 of Saka, BTA, Wright & EMC in terms of defensive shape and our control of midfield. Watford had kind of done that in the previous game too but we got away with that one. Anyhow on the presumption that Rudoni isn't available and Thomas and Kitching are, my team would be:
Rushworth
MVE, Thomas, Kitching, Dasilva
Eccles, Grimes, Torp
Sakamoto, Wright, EMC
