Also bailed Rushworth out, is he shite too?

Do you actually believe what you type or do you think it makes you edgy?

I just don’t particularly rate Kitching or Thomas defensively. Never have. Everyone has players they don’t rate at something. I have no idea what @edgy thinks.

I agree we all have players we prefer / rate etc

But we do have a good defensive record , XG against is the leagues 4th best , we had the best until watford

We've conceded 1 more goal than two sides. We've conceded less than the other 21 sides. There's sides that have conceded more than double that we have.

Can you imagine how well we would be doing if we had a couple of decent CB's? We might even be clear at the top of the table by 3 points and have something like +25 GD after just 12 games......

Now back to reality. You're really making yourself sound silly.

Recently Kitching switched off in the 96th minute at Portsmouth and the guy still had to lob the keeper, and Rushworth hastily went to ground and brought a player down.

It's going to happen sometimes. Burnley's defensive record last season was an absolute statistical freak, I doubt teams will come close to it for a long time.

I'd much rather watch us than Burnley anyway. Fucking horrible stuff.

That doesn't read right here,he belatedly paid for one after missing the early bird or something like that?
He forgot to pay for the one he wanted and only realised when he didn't get sent a paper ticket via email. He was lucky it wasn't a season where we used the same card. It made me smile.

It's unrealistic to expect any of our players to not make mistakes. But some seem to think they should be perfect every game. Not even the top players in the world are faultless.

I just don’t think he’s a very good defender. It’s not that deep. He does other stuff, but as a CB it’s his defending that concerns me.
You are right he is not perfect. He has annoying traits as a defender and as a hard man. But he does have qualities and development potential. He is at least decent at this level.

I remember Jack Charlton saying how Sir Alf Ramsey phoned him up to say he had made the World Cup England squad. “Now Jack I dont want you thinking you are one of the best in England. You are not, but there is a role you can do for me.”

The best players don’t always make the best team. The right blend of players make the best team.

There has been times I felt he deserved to be out of the team. At the moment I think he deserves to be in the team. But yes the coaches do still need to work with him.

I was a bit annoyed that Kitching let himself get wound up by Moore which resulted into the booking. I was watching it being like don’t kick off and he couldn’t help himself.

One card closer to a one game ban.

Don’t know why so many people keep thinking he’s now suspended as it was only his 4th of the season.

I think the same about Thomas, but he’s less rash. My worry is the pair of them rile each other up and either would be better with a calmer head next to them. What made Fadz a leader wasn’t him being hard as nails, it was his organisation and how he improved those around him. It’s those traits for me that Kitching (and Thomas) lacks.

It’s his 5th booking but that included the cup game, and Gurney initially said on radio it meant he’d be banned (but he likely rescinded that comment later) but they only count in the competition they are earned in.

so that’s probably why - it’s why I thought it initially before looking into it

A BBC journalist who doesn't know the rules, well I never. 😱

To be fair to him what I heard was he said it as he got the booking almost as a thinking out loud statement, and then I got out of the car and back in house so didn’t hear any more of it.

Love that these comments are always from some boomer who spends his time commenting under AI videos on Facebook.
I assume this persona you've taken on recently is an act and you're not really that vile in real life. At least I hope not.

I’m staying away from politics unless it comes over here. But if you think a light pop at someone constantly wanging on about the BBC is vile, it’s probably a you problem.

It's not a light pop. It was a needless accusation at someone you presumably have never met, stereotyping him simply because his opinion on a reporter differs from yours. Getting to the point it's just weird and you need help.

But you’re having a go and calling me vile because my opinion differs from his? I think perhaps the issue is that my opinion differs from yours?

Anyway I’m leaving it here. If people don’t want politics in the football threads don’t start it.

You didn't mention his opinion or tell him why you thought the journalist was right or wrong, you labelled as "always from some boomer who spends his time commenting under AI videos on Facebook."

If we do get promoted then the BBC should bring Clive back for next season. He spent years up and down the motorways going to shitty stadiums in the arse end of nowhere in the freezing cold every week.

He would deserve a year in the comfort of Premier League media hospitality!
I dunno, Bournemouth. Maybe send Gurney and Bailey for that one

I was a big champion of Fadz especially for his vocal organization, we had not had that for years. But he started slow due to early errors (and many fans thought he was crap because of it).

Then he had his golden period.

Then he ended slow in pace and decision making.
He was a great player and personality and a great example of how any player can go through different phases.

Keith Houchen gave me some of the greatest moments of my life in the FA Cup. But week in week out he was bang average.
