On paper they've just bought a bang average Championship side. I'm not suggesting for one second that going away to any middling Championship team isn't difficult but I think they are restricted by their manager.
Doyle started slow but should be their best defender - suspended.
Sheaf and O'Brien should be an effective midfield - Sheaf injured (of course) and O'Brien seems to have dropped down the pecking order for some reason.
They'll rely heavily on pumping it to Moore and seeing if Windass can knock one in from the edge of the box.
We should have too much all over the pitch really. We need to keep an eye on the wing backs though who from the bits I've seen do deliver well to Moore.

Edit: this was supposed to be in the match thread.

Most big centre forwards can be a handful at this level, but I don't think we need to bring 3 CB's in too handle him, I say stick with the back four and get into them early doors aka Watford, 2-0 up early on will shut up the Wrexham fans
Other than the Hollywood link and the amount of money they have spent they are just an average Championship side. Stop their average striker and you stop Wrexham.

Totally agree.Whereas with us if your trying to stop us double marking 1 player dosn't work because goals are coming from many different players ie BTA 9 Wright 8 torp 6.It must be a nightmare setting up to defend against us long may it continue

If that’s the case I think we need to see Eccles or Torp back in with one of the forwards dropping out. We need to control the midfield more than last Saturday.
I'm not sure where I stand with this. Wrexham are not very good in defence. They've 'only' scored 16 goals in 12 games but that's the same as Middlesbrough and only 4 sides have scored more. Only 4 sides have conceded more goals and 3 of them are in the bottom 3.

I wouldn't change too much. I also wouldn't be too upset with a draw. They've only won 3 games all season so not worth changing the way we play too much.

Normally look forward to seeing other results after we have done our job. Today I'm just avoiding it and waiting for the final scores to see what the damage is

Lets be honest , weve dropped 11 points in 13 games .. would have been hard to do much better irrespective , 33 games to go so dont worry too much about other results just yet

I understand. I moght watch the Boro game as they’re our nearest challengers. We have tough block of fixtures coming up which is concerning. Thought we should have had enough to beat Wrexham especially after their midweek exertions. Afraid our defensive frailties are reappearing. Hope Thomas is back for Tue and glad MVE will be as well. Both are indispensable.
