Tickets are now on sale to away members for Albion’s Sky Bet Championship trip to Coventry City.

The Baggies visit the CBS Arena on Saturday, November 22 (ko 12.30pm) and have been given an allocation of 2,815.

Seats are priced £45 Adults, £40 Seniors (65+), £40 18-21 years, £35 Under-18s.

Looks like we are treating them the same as we did Brum

Gotta get Bamford's wages in I guess

We are not treating 'them' the same as we treated brum.
We are treating everyone who buys a matchday ticket that way.

Swansea is Cat A+.

Fucking madness. Swansea fans paying £45 on boxing day is appalling.

I'm confused with the strategy. Lose money on beer by charging £3.60 but charge £45 for a match against Swansea?
Its rubbish but its marketing. Need to get people hooked to the fan zone so attract them in with cheape drinks, once they have it in their routine, increase the prices.

People are already hooked to the football so they can charge a premium for that already now!

It seemed to be strategy but he's dragging it on for a lot longer than I expected.

Will be a big hit when they eventually return to £6.20!

Agreed, though again, it's not just Swansea fans!

Absolutely. I get the usual comments from our own fans defending these prices but it seems unfair to charge so much.

A parent will be forced to spend £35 to take their young kid as a Christmas present. Just seems so much.

There will be lots of empty seats in the away end. Some of which may have been sold if it was £32 or even £37.

Fuck em, I’m past caring

None of the W Mids sides have a remotely good thing to say about Coventry as a club or a place, act like scruffy chavs whenever they turn up at our ground but wanna play the pally pally ‘football family’ card when it comes to ticket prices

We cant charge families these sorts of amounts Doug. I want working class families to enjoy a game of footie without breaking the bank.....all for making money but for ffs lets not take the piss...home or away fans. We want atmosphere and away fans bring that.

Are you past caring about our younger supporters who will have to pay £35 as well?

What about Swansea being charged £45?

The bigger picture is that our ST prices are cheaper than Blues, Leicester and WBA who will all take a moral high ground on this.

Were increased our ST prices by £50 since 2022 despite inflationary pressures so the ‘rip off’ prices is a means of covering that.

We have 24k STHs, so at most, the price increases impact 4k home fans. The club even do bundle deals so it is thinking about making pricing ‘reasonable’.

He won’t be losing on the beer just not making much profit. Buy enough and you can get the beer in at £2:50 a pint quite easily.

But would those people be buying stuff anyway? Concourses were busy before?

A pub in cov wouldn't be able to make more than a few pence on a pint of Budweiser or Mahou at £3.60.

I'm not criticising it btw, it's great he's doing it! Just ironic that he'll have the cheapest pint in the league alongside the most expensive ticket.

Again, rinsing supporters is a more general problem in football. And it's only going to get worse.

And 4k fans is approximately 14 percent of a home crowd.

The trouble is while people continue to pay for them they won’t change it. Seems really short sighted to me.

And I don't blame King for doing it. But it's all part of a move towards making football unaffordable for working class supporters, which is shame.

Don’t think they would have bought it after the match. Saturday they sold loads after the game finished.
I assume he has looked at what profit they were making before this and what they are now. I do though expect these prices won’t be here for long.

It is a problem, but the clubs are also under pressure to raise revenue for FFP and there’s the wider economic issue wi

If given the choice, would you accept the single ticket prices being higher if it meant ST prices were kept slightly lower?

From my POV, the club has got the pricing spot on for STHs and that’s of primary importance here.

Agree totally, I can likewise understand why, I just think it’s shafting today’s fans and the future generation isn’t right . It could though be his strategy is get the money in now get promoted and sell. He’ll make quite a bit now the ground and club are together and we do make the next level.
