A real opportunity to open up a gap if middlesboro fail to beat Ipswich the night before
As much as I'd like to see us open a gap between us and Boro/Stoke/Leicester, I'd also like to see up keep Ipswitch and Southampton at arms length for as long as we can. Ipswich especially. It was a shame Norwich rolled over today like they did instead of rolling around like they did against us!

It’s all good fun and great to have huge confidence but the likes of Blackburn etc will try to break up the game like Norwich did, so let’s not be too complacent…
Am really hoping we pack the ground out and create an amazing atmosphere.
Oh, and by the way “any chance of 3.60’pints please Doug if you are reading this” thanks

Same, not bothered about 2nd but wouldn’t mind seeing the gap to 3rd keep getting bigger

I'm more worried about Ipswich than Boro tbh.

Exactly why I want to keep them at arms length for as long as we possibly can. The longer they go on picking up minimum points and we can hopefully pick up maximum, gives them a harder task in the 2nd half of the season. Not saying were gonna do a Sunderland and fall off massively, but we will no doubt, at some point, hit a rocky patch. The higher points difference we've got on Ipswich when this happens the better.

They've not been much of a goal threat scoring only 7 goals in 8 games and losing 5 of them. But considering they're in 21st and only a point out of the relegation places they've only conceded 11 goals. But out of this they put 3 past Hull at their place without reply in their 3rd game of the season. So only 4 goals in their other 7 games.

So it looks like we have a decent chance of getting our 5th clean sheet on the bounce. Their only clean sheet was away to Watford. All the simple stats are in our favour.

It's hard to see anything else but a win for us. A draw the absolute minimum.

I'm going for 3-0.

I think we are due a goal from Bobby Thomas
I also think would be good to see JDS get on the scoresheet at some point

as regards the other 4 goals
Torp 2
Simms 1
BTA 1
(Haji never good after travelling)

If Eccles , Torp , Rudoni and EMC are fully fit if gives Frank a selection headache , in a good way

Frank has said Rudoni will not be fit until after the Blackburn game.

Let's just hope he's being cautious. 🤔

I don’t think we need to worry about any specific teams. We’re top of the table now so all we need to do from here is pick up the maximum amount of points.

My gut feeling is that season will resemble Sunderland’s 24/25 rather than Leeds because we don’t have the quality of depth.

Some words of caution for which I have been spectacularly wrong so far this season.
Four players back from International duty. Haji and Asante may be very tired.
This is the Championship.
We have a great home record recently against Blackburn.
I expect us to win as I don't think Lamps will allow the player to become complacent.
Would love it to be 6, but unlikely.

Blackburn haven't actually won a league match in Coventry since 1992, they beat us in the first year of the Prem but didn't after that until their relegation.

They did beat us in the league cup and at Sty Andrews in the last 10 years or so.
