Think we’re better than Ipswich
Brave call - they're the one (other!) team capable of thumping anyone. They have a strong squad plus £££££s if needed in January.

My predicticted season favourites for the Championship title. But all isn't as it seems. Have you seen the Woolfenden interview on why he was happy to leave? He stated that it isn't how you do on the pitch for team selection but more to do with club politics.

When you consider most of their supporters wanted him to stay and we got him for a low price considering his abilities and experience there's no reason why we would question what he has said. It sounds very toxic behind the scenes.

Did read that, but given he wasn't getting playing time, I'm not sure how much credence I'd give it. With a large playing squad with a lot of talent, a few players are likely to feel a bit 'undervalued' if they're not in the team. I'd be surprised if they don't end up in the top 2. Would love it if they're not!

Thing is, they've got that good a squad that selection can be different every week, pissing off who ever ...and they'd still have a very good side!!!

Normally I would agree. But it isn't often a player leaves a club for less than their value with most of their supporters not wanting the player to leave.

Hadn't realised Ross Stewart pulled up with a hamstring injury on Saturday. Good news for us if hes out for a while, as Saints are one of the clubs who I see as auto contenders. He will be a big.miss for them. Injury prone, so hopefully it goes again when he returns! ( apologies Ross)

Lots of unhappy Blunts this week, all these from their board.

Amongst all the reasons for our crapness, I just can’t believe that our two goalscoring threats ie Hamer & Campbell do not put in the conditioning work required to last a 90 minute game of football.

We need to be more Coventry.

That's the problem. If O'Hare is your player of the season you're in trouble

Hahahah, long may it continue.

I watched Chris Wilder’s interview after the Hull game. Cuts a very uninspiring figure, bringing out loads of cliches while repeating himself.

I expect their results will surely pick up, but he wouldn’t give me much confidence as a Sheff Utd fan.

He took over Watford for a short while and Watford supporting work colleagues couldn’t stand him - nothing was ever down to him unless they won which they didn’t do much when he was there 😂

I bet the board are already regretting it. Odds are he will get sacked twice in 6 months by same club...

Open to interpretation this X post, but the comments from many of their fans seem to point to him unjustifiably fancying himself again.

From what I have heard all this has kicked off cause Palmer is bemoaning not playing as he worried about losing his starting spot in the summer now Jamaica look nailed on to be at the World Cup - Manager isn't happy with where his priorities are lying so has dropped him altogether

Palmer is clearly a bit of a diva - The fact he kicked up a bit of a fuss to leave us for Hull (No disrespect to them) was strange enough, considering that after years of being shipped out on loan he had finally settled and found a home here where he was (mostly) well thought - But the fact we sanctioned the deal on deadline day last year with no replacement lined up might be pretty telling

I personally liked him and I thought there were times before Rudi really stepped it up last season we could have benefitted with him still being with us and with how Lampard has worked with and improved Dasilva, Kitching etc. you never know how he could have performed last season - I imagine he is kicking himself that he is still not a part of what is going on here but it is more his loss than ours

Simple solution for him. Get his head down, work hard and earn his spot in the starting line up, rather than sulking and having high expectations.

Going well.

Last season when he had a spell where he was way off form, there was a Sunderland fan saying that they were obliged to pick him if he reported fit.
The dad clearly didn't get anything like that written into the Dortmund contract.

Tbf he’s scored 4 playing for a fucking shit team.
He's been carrying them on his back. He would have been great as an alternative to Wright, but Simms is doing OK atm.

Not like fans to make up clauses is it....
