Who said drop him, I’m just saying in my opinion he won’t be enough to get us over the line because of his failings in big games. He is what he is. People just need to calm down on how good he is.

As brilliant as everything is we are only 8 games in we have only won 1 more game than 8 teams in the league and the same as 3 of them.
If he scores let's say 25 goals and we dont get over the line , it won't be because of haji wright

Would rather him have it off but pleased for him.

Not sure ifImglad or not. Lot of travelling, more games, but Lampard said he's focused on trying to get to the world cup so I suppose we'll benefit from that.

Just said very similar in our group chat, buzzing for him but much prefer him having a rest for a couple of weeks. Got to hope that this spurs him on and shows that he can't sink below the standard he's set in the first 8 games. Hopefully gets some minutes and comes back with even more of a swagger

He’s never going to be making 60 yard runs back to make a tackle like BTA and nor should he. Save his energy for scoring goals which he does consistently. Have you seen a striker in the league who would swap him for?
He literaly did this earlier this week....

Fans just love a blood and thunder CF and we were blessed by having the best one in the world play for us.

Haji just isn't that player, his best attributes are his technique and guile. He plays smart rather than hard and it works incredibly well.

I think some of his early struggles were us trying to make him into a player he isn't.
He made three brilliant runs last night even excluding the goals. Unfortunately, our midfielders fluffed the passed when they tried to put him through. Just mistimed his run for the header that he put across the goal and was ruled offside.

What, it solidified it by scoring 2 from a yard that were put on a plate by other players but thats totally changed your mind:ROFLMAO:

His general play in the game was poor and it will be what ultimately costs us when we get to the end of the season as his work rate and pressing is lacklustre.

Lampard needs a striker in January.
Come on you are a Leicester fan and a WUM. The only possible explanation.

Yeah Simms is deadly a yard from the goal line. 😂

A yard! It was more like three inches 😆

But he was in the right place at the right time to score it 👍

I hope this has given his confidence a boost. We can’t expect Haji to play every game and we will need Simms to share the load and when we need a different option.

He has shown signs recently of getting back to his best. I really want him to do well, for his sake and ours.

He also won the header that set up the goal. That was as good to see as much as the goal itself. We were saying here that he looks a bit fitter, he was certainly sharper. He needs to show what he can do in that sub role now and on a regular basis.

I think it's you that's deluded
Simms has a job he can do. But if/when Wright gets injured would you be confident of Simms taking over from him? They're two totally different strikers. Wright loves running past players and can score from anywhere. The closer to the goal Simms is the better he is.
