So just thinking, I've already had some superb experiences with my eldest son following City in recent years. A couple of Wembley trips and all that went with them. Some fantastic matches and moments along the way, home and away.

But I'm now thinking what next. Promotion obviously, but I'm thinking to be able to watch a European club tournament (in any form) away match with my lad(s) in some sunny country with the SBA. I think that would do for me. I could die happy in CCFC terms.

Yeh, it’s the one thing I haven’t done, I was too young to travel when we played in Europe in 1970(?). Would love to follow us abroad, but would I get a ticket - it’s hard enough trying to follow them away in this country!!

I would like to see us go up obviously but would prefer autos, preferably clinched at home on the final day.

Then if we played in Europe or managed to win one of the cups that would be the pinnacle for me.

Teams that went up last season are competitive atm. Early days i know but already looking more promising that the last 2 or 3 seasons. It's good to see, even if Sunderland are one of them.

Almost had one when Torp scored against Man United, the whole end going nuts, my 12 yr old lad fully whipped up in it, really showed he cared which is big for me as I was half in the mind he was just being polite by coming to games with me!

So close, still smarts now.

To be honest the JPT win felt great, like the green shoots after years of utter shit.

Playoff Vs Exeter was great had my brother and lad with me for that.

Would love to see Cov at least once in Europe, even if it was away at a random Norwegian team in the UEFA Conference League.
We'd probably end up with Hearts away (which I'd also take tbf).

I actually think becoming a Premier League team is becoming an increasingly realistic prospect, but the challenge is then staying there.

Yep, a bit of a European adventure, see some clubs that I've never seen us face before.

It would also mean that we'd have probably won a trophy.

Whilst obviously I want us to be successful and get promoted, the Premier League itself holds no real appeal.

Lucky enough to have grown up during the JH revolution and experienced the highs and lows of that remarkable 34 year run in top flight football and not forgetting THAT day in 87.

The downside following relegation in 2001 with the slow painful decline and our exiles only to witness the phoenix rising again and enjoying our promotions and our Wembley visits and to cap it off finally owning the ground that was built for the club, something I never thought I'd see but dared to hope.

So my dearest wish is for the generation that has never seen us in the prem and subsequent generations to enjoy the good times again.

I'm in the autumn of my years and I'm a happy and contented man, I've loved and been loved. How lucky am I.

I think I have a different relationship with that Torp goal. Probably the most euphoric moment of my life - the cup final comes close - and strangely the result hasn’t diminished it for me. Odd.

My son coming to games with me and seemingly enjoying them with me. Likewise I have a nagging doubt that he’s not just humouring his old man…but he doesn’t shut up about us, wants all the kits, learns all the songs, and only plays fifa as Cov.
Tbh watching the 2 older lads we don’t know who are sat next to him, absolutely mob him when we scored vs Norwich this year was a good moment…he clearly loved it and was chuffed to tell his mum about it.

Grew up watching PL football, be nice to return there whilst dad is still watching and he's 80 now. Hopefully a few years left in him yet, but definitely slowed down in recent times and reckon only a couple more season tickets before he starts watching at home on the dodgy stick.

I'll remember that moment forever, the turnaround and build up as the goals went in. For the minute or so we were going mental that was the best football moment of my life . But just imagine the story that would have been, even if it was technically offside Its galvanised my opinion that forensically searching for a reason to disallow a goal when it's clear no advantage was gained goes against what I fell in love with football for. Just can't get over that

Yeah, I’ve definitely had moments where it felt unjust/unfair/such a shame but those feelings just don’t linger for me.
It was amazing. The craziest moment of my life.
I rewatched the BBC highlights the other week (not bothering with the pens) and heard the co-commentator (an ex footballer…can’t now remember who) talking about what a privilege it was to be there. I think that sums it up nicely for me…and it was us!
I reckon if we ever get to the Prem it’ll all probably feel a bit shite after a while.
