He can't win anything until next season though! He only wins trophies in his second season dont forget!

Thats why he let Swansea win the other night. No point in continuing in a competition he can't win til next season is there?!

2-0 Boro. Game over. Seeing Adi celebrate on the touchline just irks me a little that things didn't work out for him with us.

Awful game , if Middlesbrough are top it says a lot about the quality of this division
To their credit, Boro have a cutting edge. We had so many chances last week, but were so wasteful.

yet we've scored 4 more goals than them in what is now less minutes
Pity all the goals mainly came in 2 games. Hopefully the players have managed to locate their scoring boots for tomorrow.

well we have only played 5 games
More than scoring, our problem is on the defensive side. If we could've tightened up at the back, we would have 4 more points.

If we were tighter at the back there's a change we don't score as many goals. The way we are playing this season will at times leave us open at the back. Yes there has been individual errors but we aren't going to be defensively the tightest team unless we change how we play.

We can be better for sure. All the set-piece goals we conceded could easily have been prevented by better defending. Seems like we don't learn. That didn't have anything to do with going forward and being left open at the back. They came from dead-ball situations when we had players behind the ball. Even the Norwich goal which came from open play could have been defended better. Just my opinion.

Happened at Norwich last season that. I do think it's a pretty strange way of going about things as a player, it doesn't exactly do much for your own reputation.

I remember an opposition manager last season calling out our squad for not trying hard enough and getting Mark Robins the sack……

Oh yeah it was Chris Wilder

Hard to disagree with him.

Whatever the truth of it it’s more ironic than 10,000 spoons that he’s benefitted from Sheff United players doing similar.

That said, Selles’ on pitch dressing down of the entire team after the first game loss to Bristol City probably sealed his fate.

Ofcourse , but you have to give great credit too to rob Edwards , who after getting luton promoted a season before is proving once again to be a very decent manager

Why could he not get it going last season at Luton in your view?

Ok so I deleted my previous response tbh as I had no idea why they couldn't get it going .

A quick search suggests poor signing and a change in tactical approach to accommodate that which never worked

Adi will be good for player mentality , Rob Edwards is a very nice guy and you imagine that it would be easy for a teams mentality to slip somewhat if things arent going well .

I cant see adi allowing that to happen and in that regard I imagine Boro will be a good side this season and will likely threaten the playoffs more heavily than in recent years , I doubt their levels will drop for too long

Preston were written off by many before the season started, but have picked up impressive wins and winning again today.
