Pretty sure in times gone by his innovative tactics would still have served him well, but if lower down the spectrum, some are probably there because they don't take on the information so well and his progressive ideas not deployed. Basic organisation and fitness often works better. I think if anything as good as he is, his style would work best with the top players.

Right, so let me get this straight... Robbie Savage for manager of Wrexham and Pep Guardiola as his assistant Yeah?
I was more talking about Pep rather than Robbie Savage, and not making any crass assertion that Savage is a better manager than Guardiola.

Seen him play for FGR a few times live plus a couple of dodgy stick streams and what jumps out is he looks built for it, big athletic lad but very neat. I'd say he has all the ingredients to make it

Tbf I'm not sure of the last time a player got a 3 year contract out of the academy especially not after basically 2 years out injured pretty much. Clearly the club and Frank see a lot in him

It's nice to root for home grown players. A stunt in the National League can do wonders. Wilson springs to mind

I agree with you although the Wilson comparison is a stretch... His 20 games in 18 months in the conference and then a year not playing wasn't the springboard for his success!
