We have some of those types here. They’ll say something like, “My mom is from Coventry and my dad is from Norwich. I grew up in a house divided so I support both”.

weird to go in public like that.
Similar in Lesta. You’ll hear ‘My dad, uncle, grandad, cousin, and second cousin all supported the Foxes. He was such a nice bloke I couldn’t refuse’

Great play by City, our forwards need to stop panicking and take some control and the goals will flow. Thought EMC was outstanding just need him to get in the box with the ball at his feet and we will get penalties like sweets👍

A lot of those shots we had were blocked. Shows how resolute their defending was.

ultimately we had 28 shots but 4 on target.

we played really well, deserved to win. But to say they didn’t defend well is a bit misplaced. They came here knowing we were the better side and played to nullify our threat.

I’m confident we beat Leicester next week. If we can cut out the defensive mistakes,be a bit smarter in the opposition box - I think we can push the top 2
Never include when we hit the post as a shot on target which makes the stats look poorer than they actually were.

So, straight after the game the first reaction was relief about the late equaliser fairly rapidly followed by frustration about not getting the win.
With the perspective of a day or two though, I have to compare the match to the one against them the year we came back to Cov from Brum. As I recall, we were 3-0 down after about 15 minutes and although we got a couple of goals back, we were totally outclassed.
On Saturday, the tables were completely turned. We were dominant and but for some poor finishing, dodgy refereeing and (to be fair) excellent defending, we could have had a QPR like result.

Haven't been on here since Saturday so only getting chance to comment

I am a big believer that most of the time in football you get what you deserve, but if we hadn't have got a goal on Saturday it genuinely would have been a complete and utter travesty, I do not buy all this Norwich were excellent at the back, we still carved out 28 chances if we had our shooting boots on we would have racked up QPR numbers

A big and historically good footballing side like Norwich City setting up like that against us we should be taking as a compliment - I could not watch that every week, dire

Some half time reading- Gavin Ward review at bottom of page:

This is one of the best match reports I've ever read and sums up Gavin Ward's refereeing perfectly. Even mentions the stupid arm rolling asking a player to hurry up like he's a child.

I love the photo the EFL have used here Gavin Ward with him looking gormless and the two players thinking WTF are you on about.

Either the EFL haven't updated the page for a while or it's been 8 years since Ward was given a 'big' game, the Checkatrade final in 2018. And oh look, he made a horlicks of that too... Lincoln City 1-0 Shrewsbury Town

Ironically - Wasn't he the ref between and notts county in the league two play offs and gave us the questionable penalty at the end?

Seems to have been making up for that ever since

Wow, you're right! Astonishing how he's still a ref and gone up the leagues, dreadful.

Just found this classic line from Nolan in the 1st leg match report:

"We were fantastic to a man and would have merited the win. If we had been asked before about going back to Meadow Lane with a point, we would have taken it.'

Don't get points in the playoffs Kev, you fucking turbot.
