Weird how you get very winnable games like this where you're not confident at all. It's not even that they're a bogey team either, just something in the air. Win today would be huge, I think Norwich will do well this season.

If we attack the way we have and tighten up at the back a bit we should win

If we are all at sea defensively I worry a bit about the outcome today because you cant give players like Sargent the chances to hurt you
I'm not sure why we haven't recruited a defensive coach of similar calibre to the others Lampard's brought in.

TBF mate the goals at Oxford were more down to the keeper than anything, it's not as if they created much otherwise. We've not conceded many chances in any of the games so far.

Hopefully Sargent will be feeling less than 100% after returning from international duty in the States.

I doubt Lampard will give Woolfenden a start any time soon, so the back 4 will have to be 100% on their game to keep a clean sheet.
I rate Sargent as the best striker in the championship, and im suprised they held on to him in the window.

Im going 2-1 City in a tight game.

True , I think i worry more about the defensive cover than the defence more than anything , Oxford we were hopelessly exposed on the flanks as the wingers were caught too high .

I just worry today against a higher quality opposition it might hurt us more

Every set piece has been a golden chance for the opposition!

Strange how we've looked quite solid in open play, and yet so vulnerable from every dead ball situation.

Hopefully we've spent the international break learning to organise for set pieces.

It would help if we stopped giving them away in such threatening positions. Thomas especially.

It's individuals that are switching off and not winning their personal battles.
