I get the reasoning, but if the squad as a whole feels that strongly about it they should first at least try to raise it with the manager and bring about the change they want, failing that go above his head. Throwing away games like this to get someone sacked, I dunno I just think it's poor form.
Oh I completely agree. Its not the way to do business at all. Just, from a players perspective its quickly forgotten about. We all know that Tanganga, CoH, Louie Barry etc aren't shit players. And these 5 games aren't likely to define their careers.

If i were a new manager walking in to that dressing room though, id be very cautious and suspicious in regards to the squad though. If that's what theyre about, what's to say youre not next?

It would tell me as a manager that the players will simply throw me under the bus if I don't pander to them. Man Utd's players did it countless times over the past few years.

Mad isn’t is about the Blades - it’s largely the same team as last year. Maybe they were just shit scared of Wilder and actually that was surely that got them there.
be embarrassing if they employ him again.
Thirteen new players in this summer if I reckon it correctly and 5 new players starting tonight - that seems like a decent turnover all the same.

Ipswich are quality but Blades central defence woeful. Wrong manager appointed after Wilder implosion both inside and outside the club.
I called Selles as being the wrong appointment before the season started. Hull backed him spending a lot of money with the results not coming in. Added to this they sold players to be replaced with cheap loans without Championship experience. By the time they brought in a few better players they were already in trouble with their supporters on their backs. Toothless up front and dodgy at the back with their own players arguing with each other. But even I am surprised at how bad they've started. I saw them as 8th to 12th in the table.

They need to get rid of Selles and bring in an experienced manager at this level to have a full reboot. Tanganga is a very good signing but he can't do everything. But even if they sort out their defence they will struggle for goals.

Incorrect, they need to leave him in post for as long as humanly possible 😁

News this morning in Sheffield is that the blunts are sounding the idea of bringing Wilder back.

As a Sheffiled lad and a Blunts supporter, id be surprised if he turned it down. But if it were anyone else, or any other club, theyd be told to fuck right off!

Hopefully it’s a growing trend with clubs relegated from Prem doing badly in Championship, like Luton they are finding the adjustment difficult. Invest badly with parachute payments mangers and players who think they are better than they are and it’s a slippery old slope.

Off the bar!!!!! No way!

Its gonna be a roller coaster for Oxford fans this season! They'll score plenty, but will concede more!

isn’t there a stat that the last 4-5 managers of the month in August have been promoted
The last 5 August winners were:
2024 - Regis Le Bris - Sunderland (P)
2023 - Enzo Maresca - Fester (P)
2022 - Paul Heckingbottom - Blunts (P)
2021 - Marco Silva - Fulham (P)
2020 - Seems to be missing. Cant find it

Champ started in September in 2020.
Then in that case the previous August winners was Steve Cooper at Swansea who didnt get promoted. Unless were counting the September as an August MOTM award? Where in which case it was Veljko Paunović at Reading, who also didnt get promoted.
