Think we've started decently. The issues are there for all to see and will hopefully be addressed but averaging 2 points a game is a decent return.

All our games have been against teams now rather low in the tables, they've been easy fixtures.

It’s a very good point. We’re unbeaten. You’d never know it reading about today. If we can sign a good CH, bed in Brau and KKH and get Sheaf back in for Torp we’ll be fine. Torp can still have a huge impact but he’s not a 90 min performer at the moment.

Positives:
Scoring plenty of goals and a variety of different goals. We’ve not been as one dimensional with crosses as a few have been worried about.
Not conceding from open play - suggests we’re controlling games as the coaches would want. I can’t really remember us looking threatened from open play outside of a 5/10 min spell against QPR before our 3rd.
Weakness:
Stating the obvious, defending set pieces and ill discipline in giving away needless fouls in dangerous areas. Baffles me how we can be good at attacking them but failing to do basics at the other end. Hopefully plenty of work can be done on this over the international break.
If we add another winger, bring in Woolfenden and keep Haji fit for the season then we’re in a great position

Torp all day long at home over sheaf at home.
But away from home a substitutions was need when we were stretched like we was in 2nd half.

We’ve started well and will continue to grow into the season. Some of the attacking football we’ve played is up there with the best I’ve ever seen from us, just a shame about the defending! Confident we’re going to have a very good season.

Sheaf would have helped better defensively today, it is unclear why we didn't just drop off against a team that was looking to get in behind.

Can't help feeling a little disappointed, we dropped 2 points at home to Hull, in a game we created enough chances to win, and today we let another 2 points slip through our fingers having been ahead twice.
We've played 4 very poor teams and only picked up 8 points when we should quite easily have 10 or 12.
Our short comings are obvious, and during the international break we need to work on defending set pieces and being disciplined enough to not be giving away free kicks in dangerous areas.
EMC and BTA need to tighten up their defensive play, and Rushworth also needs to improve. And an experienced CH wouldn't go a miss either.
Going forward we've been excellent, better than we've been for years, Torp Rudoni and Wright have improved massively, but defensively we still look poor.

Well, best start we have had for a while but, way too early to come to any long-term conclusions.
The positives, (if we don't lose anybody crucial before the window closes), is the team know each other really well. Rushworth, Brau and KKH still looking to get up to speed. Years ago you would go and buy Pearce from non-league and they would be brilliant straight away. Those days have gone. Vik, Gus, Callum, Rudoni and Dovin all took a good while to hit top form.
Hull I thought was a fair result. Derby and QPR we battered in the end, although every shot against QPR flew in the net. Against Oxford we should have put it to bed early on, and a combination of bad luck and poor shooting made difficult by the conditions lost us 2 points. Couple of times in the second half Rudoni nearly put us through and we had good chances to win it. More than Oxford despite their improved second half performance.
Of course, we have played some lesser teams, but we have played some awesome football.
I feel MVE and Bobby have been unsettled and have not always been at their best. That said, MVE has three assists so far.

From the corresponding fixtures last season we totalled 9pts. This season 8pts.
I did say judge lampard on early season form and so far the signs are good. If we are fighting in and around the playoffs by Christmas I'll be delighted, less heroics needed going in to the 2nd half of the season giving us more chance to rotate and have more energy going in to the playoffs if we make it.

Agree with the OP - I’m fairly happy with the start - the league across the board seems incredibly tight
It feels similar to last season but the parachute clubs seem to all be a lot a worse and instead of a Leeds who failed to go back up at first time of asking then pissing the league, we have Sheffield United in complete turmoil.
I was willing to give the Bobby/Kitch partnership the start of this year following a full summer with Lampard/Edwards but unfortunately I do think it’s just a level below where we need it to be to be a proper dominant team. Hopefully Woolfenden will take the defence up a level and make us a bit tighter at the back. Then if Rushworth can get his act together we’ll be right amongst it come the end of the season.

People have moaned about the slow starts for the last 3 seasons, (overly so in my opinion), yet now we've had a solid start some, only 2 or 3, are putting it down to the calibre of them opposition!
Some people are never happy!

No easy games in this league, it's looking more open than ever if early season results across it are anything to go by.
Felt yesterday was 2 points dropped but you'd still have to be a headcase to be losing it at 8 points and unbeaten in the first 4, especially with some of the football we've seen.
No doubt we'll see a couple more players enter the building too and have a decent period to bed in during the international break. I'm pretty happy right now.

There were definitely issues from yesterday that need addressing.
But surely people have learnt by now that with the exception of 1 or 2 (parachute clubs), the season is a roller coaster for most teams?
Plenty of ups and downs but ultimately its about where you finish up.
Even Sunderland hit a huge dip last season before prevailing in the play offs.
It's a good start and we look really threatening going forwards. The early season form of Wright, Rudi and Torp is great to see.
The negatives are obvious. And we've had a pretty east set of opening fixtures so the next 4 games will give us a clearer idea of where we are, but early signs are promising

On reflection we’ve dropped 4 points but at least we’re unbeaten and our key attacking players have already hit form.
All of our goals have been because we’ve given away silly free kicks or naivety.
Both full backs but probably more so MVE because he has BTA in front him seem exposed. So there is that question does a Tatsu give a better balance on the right.
CB we clearly need something else and that an experienced head to martial the defence.
Key will be how finish our transfer business in the next few days.
After the break we play teams considered top 6/10. That’s going to be the real test. If we can play well against them then we’re in for a top season.

See whilst I’m cautious at the start we’ve had, one thing I will say is we’ve always played better against the good teams than we historically have against the Middling to poor teams.
the next 3 games are big ones for us, but if we can sort out the issues at the back we’ll be a seriously dangerous side this season
