Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window (414 Viewers)

The biggest issue is they physically can't replace him.

They could in theory try to pursue the option of a loan to buy - but given their recent track record I think you'd do well to get a club to agree to that.

There will also be a hope that they could generate double what we've offered by next summer if he does well.
It doesn’t matter, if the player wants to come (which looks like he’s giving us encouragement) then things will happen, they will also need the money and they could be in league 1 next season where he’ll be worth 5 million. All we need to do is get close to the owners valuation and not the deluded managers

they can sign players cant they?

Loans and free agents only for this window and in January.

They do have a third embargo which has been suspended pending further breaches.

They wouldn't really be able to replace him with anyone of real quality.

But money talks and I suspect the owner isn't as resilient as he claims to be in the media.

Given the above, why would we go in with a huge bid when quite clearly their financial situation is something we can exploit and potentially benefit from re. by testing their resolve with Hughes and hope he pushes through a move.
He’ll already been giving us encouragement, it’s how far he’s willing to go…..you don’t bid a few times for someone that says they are staying put. It will all come down to Mr blings pocket

I wish he’d have shown us encouragement by letting us score in the first game

If Leicester are in, likely he'll go there.
Bigger wages on offer and once he sees their training ground then that will likely be that!!

Not sure about that. King Power can't afford to fund the club anymore and its financial situation remains pretty bleak despite all their outgoings. I'd be very surprised if they pay any fees for players in this window.

If we are still bidding for Hughes it’s because the player wants to come and we are being encouraged that there is a deal to be done …
