Andrews isn’t ready for Champ football. He needs to loan out and get a proper season of men’s football.

Allen I’m sorry but he needs to move on. Adds nothing.

KKH was a car crash. He’s like Bambi. Not a single cross into the box!

Brau is a good technician and has potential. He needs more time to understand how we play but will come good.

Simms was Simms today. He is just ineffective. The way Haji came on an impacted the game shows how far he is from being a starter. He needs replacing so we have some impact.

BTA was ineffective today. Think he’s fine with the starting line up we had at the weekend but looked weak without the all stars.

Rapha had a couple of good runs but overall ineffective. Think he’s a good impact sub late in a game if we’re winning.

KKH and BTA were awful. Allen offered nothing and Andrews was anonymous.

Irn Brau looks a decent footballer, but perhaps needs some tactical discipline.

We really need to defend set-pieces. I mean, it's the basics.

Bta was an actual hinderence.

It confused me what lampard said about him if he meant Norwich away last season, he was fucking terrible and gave them the ball back and invited pressure every time he got it (as well as missing a sitter).

I may have heard wrong b

Andrews isn't far off imo

I don't think Andrews is far off. When Burroughs and Howley first entered the first team they were clearly a lower level. Andrews has a good touch and given more opportunities will improve. KKH clearly has attributes but was very rusty. His passing was particularly poor. However, he is decent (and better than MVE) in the air.
I do like Brau and think he looks okay pushed further forward. He has some decent skills and a good cross.
Raphael has definitely improved since last season and hopefully will continue to do so with game time. He's another with good attributes if he can improve decision making.

Thought Brau was ok, but both him and KKH struggled with zero cover from the wide players.

Simms fed off scraps, then had nobody around him when he did manage to get the ball under control.

Andrews and Rafa need a season playing mens football, they were too slow and not physical enough.

The need for another CB is stark and we desperately need wide player cover.

My early concern with KKH was not defensive - a few double ups on him left him exposed - but, when attacking, he was cutting in rather going outside... when he did that at the last knockings to play it to Kitching to cross raged me... new boy lack of confidence???

Yes reminded me a lot of MVE in his slump start of last season. Just didnt seem to have confidence to take it past a man and whip a ball in,

Allen did what he needed to - pressed hard and kept the ball moving. That was his job and he did it okay. We didn't do enough with the possession further forward in the first half but that was down to the four ahead of him.

I'll defend Andrews because the lads 18 and had to play alongside Allen who's next to useless atm.

But Allen there's no excuse and we've seen that kind of game from him far more than we've seen the effective Allen
Played the Torp role... and is not up to it. Might have been better to give Grimes the night off and play him there.

Surprised by the low scoring for Bidwell. I thought he was very good. Won every header I think, passed the ball accurately including between the lines, and made some timely interventions. Considering it isn't his natural position he was impressive.
He was one of the better players, but we can't get comfortable with him as backup CB all year.

Allen is just a passenger.

It feels like he's going to get recurring one year contract extensions until the end of time
He’s been great throughout his City career but probably outstayed his welcome, we are moving onto the next level and need better. Allen would be a good signing for a Portsmouth or Charlton.

Wilson 6 Gives me the heebie jeebies

KKH 5 Clearly has some good attributes but he was crap
Thomas 6
Bidwell 6 Pleasantly surprised but surely he’s not the answer long-term
Brau 6 Some good final balls but he’s a long way off figuring out this system

Grimes 6
Allen 5
Andrews 5 Pretty classic example of a kid not having the nous for a senior game

BTA 5 Nothing came off for him
Simms 6 Worked admirably hard to no avail
Rafael 5 I struggle to see what he offers

Kitching 5
Rudoni 7 MOTM A cut above every other player on the pitch
Torp 6
Wright 7 Showed up Simms’ shortcomings yet again

He's capable of 1 or 2 good games at a time, and then 1 or 2 where he's just off it.

If he's sticking around I'm glad this was one of his off games.

The players who were not first choice did nothing to say put me in the team.
KKH was terrible but I am sure he just had an off day.
Rapha and Andrews were prime Ayari. Possibly good players for the future. Allen along with those two and BTA were muscled off the ball every time.
Brau is a long way off yet. Got the physicality, needs to be more clinical with his passing and especially his shooting.
Wilson. no chance with second goal. First, a top quality goalie may have saved it.
Kitch. How many yellows before a suspension?
The players who came on looked class.
My worry is we have no one to come on after our first 11 who is top 6 sub class unless Sheaf can regain his form.

There are certain players that some people simply don’t want to like.
Agree, im a bit like that with Collins and tbh the more I see of him, starting to feel the same about Simms. His service was poor, but he has zero goal threat. Times his jumps so badly. 6ft4 and jumps 6ft2

The second goal was easier

The starting midfielders shown that they aren’t good enough to be starting

It was a perfect opportunity for Andrew’s to put his name in the mix to fight for a first team place but based off that performance against millwall he won’t be starting as for Allen how is he still here?

Allen just spins around in circles and either passes to the back or the side does not effect the game at all

Obviously we lost because of bad defending but we also lost because it shows the backup midfield we have are no good. A few players had bad games but not every player can play well all the time.

Simms disappeared as the game went on BTA was not linking up well with Simms we just needed 10 extra more minutes to get an equaliser positive signs were we looked a lot better when the likes of wright torp and rudi was on
