Yeah got no opinion on it being bollocks or not. Saw it on the Chelsea chronicle so thought to share.

Don’t know if it’s a good source.

Edit: looks to be a really good source https://x.com/siphillipssport
Agree siphillips is a really good Chelsea source, but this does seem pretty strange. Can’t believe we could possibly afford him or pay his wages for a purchase, but as a loan If Chelsea pay most of his wages I could perhaps see it with an obligation to buy should we be promoted. But all seems a bit of a stretch to be honest.

The obligation to buy part is the only thing that could see it happen. Obviously having players of that caliber would help achieve that goal.

He's been really good. If anything he's probably shown he's worth coming in again for with a higher offer.

Exactly this. How many assists has he got, hit the bar first game, been playing in a good exciting team….all of which should’ve pushed his value up and maybe even got other clubs interested.

If you stick a player on the subs bench the low ball bidding team has won. To date nobody has offered the right price (this is a big difference between King and SISU) so he’s got to play

I’ll be sorry to see MVE go but the reported transfer fee is a decent one and if we can spend it well it should strengthen the squad. I’m not sure that I would even spend it on another RB as Eccles and Lati are decent enough options as cover for that position.

This post does make a bit of sense.

If we sold Milan then at least if we signed Asante he covers both CB and RB

Asante has a ready-made song, lifted straight from that article:

He's only 23. He's only going to cost a few million. He's playing the full 90 minutes for Tel Aviv, who have brilliant defensive stats at the minute.

Shmmee said "We’re just renting it for a very long time." No it's a very long lease. No different to every flat, apartment in the country, I am sure their owners don't see themselves as renters. That SISU were obsessed with the freehold is just another instance of them being over-dogmatic and intent on importing American business practice to the UK regardless of the local situation. It took them nearly a decade to work out how to run a football club which shows a blinkered mentality to say the least.

A 230 year lease gives the Council some protection legally in a strategically important bit of real estate. If they want a better return, maybe invest in some better infrastructure.
Sisu are a Hedge Fund they are just asset strippers

Just don't understand why we've been playing him if hes off

Firstly, why risk an injury if we're banking on 12 million quid

Secondly, youd bed KKH in at RB and not be bringing him on out of position no?
MVE has 3 assists already, that’s why. His attacking play has been fantastic this season.

If a team wanted to pay €6m, his early performances will 100% move the dial toward a figure we want.

Doing the rounds now…

Coventry City are eyeing an ambitious move to sign Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell.
Journalist Simon Phillips has suggested Frank Lampard is looking to raid his former club for the left-back, who he had previously signed during his time at Stamford Bridge for £50m.
The 28-year-old is expected to depart the south London club before the end of the transfer window, but still has two-years remaining on his current deal.
Chilwell spent the second half of last term on loan with Crystal Palace, where he registered 11 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Sky Blues are hoping to lure the former Leicester City man to the Championship, with his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain.
Lampard is reportedly pushing to sign the defender as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a potential promotion push.

KKH would of been promised nothing other than opportunities to fight for his place. Nobody should dictate how many minutes they get, if they did FL would walk. We need a quality squad and need depth because all will be needed at some point.
Crazy how many people on here were adamant he wasnt signed to fight for position and that MVE must be off.

Spoke down to many posters who said it's realistic to have 2 good RBs

That don't mean mve won't go but I don't think it was ever a foregone conclusion

Really hope he stays as he is better than KKH from what I've seen so far

Let's ride the momentum to the premier league

Maybe Bidwell will be fourth choice centre half and Brau pushed further forward, not that we are signing Ben Chilwell 😂

MVE has really started the season on fire, he's looked fantastic so far, would be gutted to see MVE leave but it's an upwards move on more money so I'll be wishing him well. KHH needs to hit the ground running once he gets his chance. I thought he looked rapid on Saturday but we've already seen him go down twice in agony over 2 relatively minor things, so hopefully he's robust and we can rely on him over the season.
