Anyway, Doyle we were not interested in and anyway they way we play this year means we don't even need a leftie to play "lcb". Begore you would prefer a LCB to be left footed as the passing lanes are easier for a leftie in that position. We now have Grimes who is a leftie standing to the left of Kitching when we build up from the back. The position Kitching is in mostly the middle CB (yes sometimes Grimes is on the right or in the middle but mostly he seems to be on the left of the 3) so it's less an need to be left footed.

This means a decent right footed CB can more easily cover both roles.

I think if you are looking to get promoted and then stabilise in the Prem then you need a rapid centre half and as good as Doyle is hes not that quick unfortunately. Who that is I dont know but I would like a speed merchant first and foremost.

Its like they want Doug to phone them and tell them every player we are interested in and made bids for. If not they assume anything they read online is fact and rage at fiction. One in particular (Paul Howkins) is the worst. Makes some of you bedwetters on here seem positive.

Whoever we get we’ll likely replace upon promotion. We just need players who take us up to promotion level.
