Its a no win. If they sign someone to appease the wetters and they turn out to be shit then they get abuse. They also get abuse when they dont sign anyone.

It's also worth remembering this is a top 6 deck (based on last season). If we can avoid a horrible start, there's no reason we can't challenge for playoffs again, or be comfortably 4th/5th like Sunderland.
Not sure we can say top 6 deck, as it depends on how others have strengthened . Top 10 deck defo.

It's not for the want of trying, it's probably because the clubs are asking too much.
Just because other teams have brought in players doesn't mean they have all strengthened. Many of them will be poorer than the players they have been bought to replace.

Exactly, we've been too hasty previously giving good contracts to bang average players, Binks was one we did well to get money for, but there's plenty of others that im sure Frank would move on if he could find someone to take them on. Such as:-

Collins
Bidwell
Lats
Simms
BTA
And maybe in an ideal world :-
Allen
Eccles
Bassette
Raphael
Allen and Eccles are decent enough squad players, but are they good enough if we are aiming to be a top 2 team?
Would any of the above of got into the Leeds or Burnley sides that got automatic promotion last season? That's the level we ultimately need to be striving for.

FL said, in an interview with DD, that he has not met such a nice humble group of players and I honestly read that as he doesn't want to rock the cart and he believe what he has can do the job. If you look at it that way and if we can keep all the players and even add one more CB it could be seen as a really good window.
I can still see a couple of deals being done. Loans, I have never seen us in for loans, unless we lose one late in the window.
If we don't sign at least 2 'decent' players before the end of the transfer window, I'll buy a Leicester top.
