Gotta be honest and say i thought thomas and Kitching both looked more than capable in the two friendlies at the arena last week, and once they were the clear established centre back partnership last season they flourished.
The constant chopping and changing at the start of last year i believe had a big impact on making any of the 4 CBs look shite. I think its a position where that trust and understanding is really key and thats only developed over time.
I totally see the need for a new CB to reinforce the position, im really interested that its an expensive younger signing we’re looking at though.

It’s a bit of a weird one really. I would imagine the story is coming from our side given how quickly the Hull local journo was out to say he’s not for sale (fancy that eh, having a local journo who actually reports on the club) but equally not sure we’d necessarily want it out there that we have the money to be throwing around £7.5m bids. You’d think we also wouldn’t go back in for a second bid unless we thought there was a chance of getting it done, but equally going public with the interest may be a tactic to try and unsettle the player a bit and force Hull’s hand. Either way I don’t see it being done until after Saturday so will be interesting to see if he starts.

Yeah I agree! Let's go with getting him for nothing then we can go after Doyle then 😂 I'd love us to sign him, not just because he's highly rated but the melt down from their end will be on par with brum fans finding out a player has rejected them and not interested in 'the project' lol
