Cov are really drafting in the loaners at the moment, due partly to injuries, but also to the Worcester situation - with at least one senior player suspended by the club due to the shenanigans. Naming no names, but his attempts to take several Cov players with him are just totally beyond contempt.
Fuck Worcester, and also any disruptive Cov players due to Worcester's ridiculous parachuting into this league.
Terrible situation.

What's happened at Cov, lost 2 on the bounce. Is it lack of squad depth?
Worcester poaching hasn't helped. Two are going there, minimum, and one of those has been suspended as he was tapping up another seven or so to join him.
Extremely unsettling.
Apart from those two (first-choice members of the forward pack) there are at least four more first-choice forwards out injured, Johnson, Nairau (front row), Nkwocha (second row), and Hinkley (back row).
Plugging gaps as big as those from a small senior squad is impossible.
I really can't see more than a couple of narrow wins before the end of the season tbh unless there are a few Lazarus-like returns.
Hopefully next term they can just get on with it without the Worcester/'Tier 2' shenanigans and distractions.

Yesterday was odd. Hartpury were gifted a couple of tries on the way to a 28-0 lead, but then Cov dug in and scored four, and but for a last minute forward pass which nullified a try, would have got the draw.
Great fightback to be fair.

If Rugby was a functioning sport we would be congratulating them for being in the playoffs too . Instead no reward for being one of the top 2 teams all season.

I see that odious piece of scum, Stephen Vaughan who was Chief Exec at Wasps as they imploded, is now Chief Exec at Worcester.
I hope he does the same job again, considering the disgusting way Worcester have been parachuted into the league, with debts galore in their wake.
I hope we stuff them in our games.

It's bent as a nine-bob note mate, the game under the RFU. I feel sorry for Worcester, unlike the arrogant fucks at Wasps, but rules are rules.

If the RFU wasn't totally beholden to the franchise Premiership idea, Worcester would be working their way back through the divisions now, and Wasps would still be in or near their actual fans in London, even if struggling.

I would feel sorry for Worcester but reading about the unpaid debts they left behind to local people and companies, it stinks that they can just rebrand and waltz back in.

Every sport seems fucked these days. The people that cause the damage seem to end up in a similar role, or even higher role, elsewhere.

Cain fucked up Wasps and is now working his magic destroying Warwickshire cricket. Club has been increasingly a shambles since he took over.

Jason Whittingham co-owned Worcester & is now owner of Morecambe & fucking them up as well. Of 25 companies he has been a director of 18 have gone into receivership, dissolved or administration.

Football I kind of get because it has a structure you would never put in place if you were starting from scratch. But what I can't get my head around is that people can look at the mess footballs in and then happily head off down the same path with their own sport.

Because football (at the top level) is absolutely awash with cash and that makes greedy fuckers deludedly believe they can achieve the same success with other sports. Others are going down the US franchise route because it's basically a licence to print money for owners of the major sports.

They didn't even have to rebrand.
Just got carte blanche to start from near the top and pick and choose from various squads (inc many from Cov) at inflated wages, while still not having paid back their manifold non-rugby debts.
They've admitted to a wage bill of 1.1 million next season, which is huge in the RFU Champ, but I doubt it's that low given the number of quality players already on their books, with more to come.
Fckn disgrace.
