We have played well, some nice movement, the press looks better.

Tatsu is good to watch.
Rushworth looks a good keeper at 1st glance.

Now controversy

Simms i not his biggest fan so watched him and his position out of possession is way better which helps the press. My concern is he makes runs with no thought when we have it. Still think he has room to improve and can but needs to do this quick if he is to stay at the club.

Very good first half considering our opponents. Yes we've hit a few stray passes but so have they.

I can't see the 62% being against Rushworth now. Done everything perfectly. Commands the area, can catch the ball, great saves and good distribution.

So now for the striker we need. And to think we won't come against this quality opponents in the Championship. Very happy so far.

Settled down after the first 10mins, which were awful. Injected some pace anbd started to hold the ball. EMC either offside or giving away needless fouls. Improved performance overall but little to frighten them in the final 1/3. Rushworth looks the part.

That was encouraging
Rushworth looks like the dominant, vocal keeper we have needed for years.
EMC, Sakamoto and Rudoni lively
Thought Simms did OK.
MVE isnt playing like a man who wants to leave the club
Tpremier league equivalent opposition.

Still some errors. Sheaf, Kitching and Grimes all caught ion the ball.

Good half of football against a good side. Would like to see Torp instead of Sheaf. Again a few chances to play forward and run the lines turned down which is frustrating, we need players to not be afraid to make those passes.
Good pressing from the front as a team, led to a nice goal for Rudoni. Some good link up play amongst the front line there towards the end of the half too.
Rushworth's communication already showing to be a massive upgrade.

The weakness in our side for me is LB. Bidwell is fine but he’s slow on the ball and that slows down the speed of our passing play
