Euro 2016 Prediction League Champion!!
Was lucky enough to be at Wembley to watch them win last time and this year watched at Truck Festival. Two screens showing it and ours was absolutely rammed.
Great atmosphere with loads of kids watching. If it inspires anyone, male or female to start playing football, that's such a good thing.

Why men seem to get rattled by it I don't know. Calling it 'not proper football' or degrading the standard of it etc. I'm sure there is one thing we can all agree on and that is football is fucking brilliant, its the best thing in the world. Why would we not want to share this with everybody and let people play the game, showcase it to the world and let everybody have a go.

Anyone mentioning the standard I suppose will be wondering off to support Liverpool, PSG, or Madrid next season then - certainly a better level than the Cov men’s team.

Yeah I don't get it.
Folkestone Invicta here, are many levels below where we are, so they are never going to be as good, or the players be top quality. There are many levels of football, from junior, to youth, to non-league, to professional, to women's, to Premier league and international.
They are all just different.
I love watching the women's game and the women's cricket and the women's rugby too
It's just different.

There's plenty of people in Coventry and the surrounding areas who say they support CCFC as a 'second team' and glory hunt off someone in the top flight. More broadly there's loads of people who think it's weird to support clubs who don't win most of the time or who at least aren't in the Prem.
Taking an interest into how England women are doing is little different

I then also follow England, but England at all levels, so men's, women's and if it's the U21 Euro Championship, I will watch all England's games for that. Even U17's.
For me, the England men's games are completely different to the U21's and the women's. It's just different levels .
The one big difference in the women's game is that the keepers are shorter, on the whole.
Average height for a male goalkeeper is 6ft 2 and for women, it's 5ft 8. This very much in part makes women's goalkeepers look worse, because they have more of the goal to cover and it's easier to fire the ball over their heads and past them etc.
Women's football is still evolving, but I very much expect that on a skill level, the women will very quickly catch up with the men.

It’s amazing what they’ve achieved and the amount of lives they will change (even if it is just giving people a new hobby they wouldn’t have had otherwise).
So many young people will be inspired to start playing because of these women.
The standard will keep getting better and better, which will in turn bring in more funding and hopefully one day equal pay can be achievable. You have to be inherently sexist to not want that to be the end goal.

The notion of equal pay is laughable. Outside the elite clubs as you even go a couple of leagues below players are unpaid and fund their own transport

Lets hope so. I see a couple of potential problems they need to avoid.
One is the old favourite, concentring all the money at the top. The top players want big money, they need to make sure enough gets to all levels so they can have more competitive divisions.
Would be great to have a CCFC Women in a tier 2 or 3 pro league at some point in the next decade. Seems to be a bit of a tendency to have big money at the top, some money at grassroots and everything in-between struggling. Don't make the same mistakes as the mens games.
The other is bringing up the standard of the other nations to avoid things getting stale quickly. Cricket had the big push in the womens game but then people realised only England, India and the Aussies could put out half decent teams and it becomes a real battle to sustain interest. Nobody wants to go to one side games regularly and nobody wants tournaments where you know the semi-finalists before you start.

Obviously right now it’s unviable. I’m saying I hope these are all the building blocks to one day being equal. How can anyone not want that.
