Yeah, that'll be it G.

Because it’s a high profile team sport where there’s considerable overlap between the ways both the men’s game and women’s games are presented, and where (unlike many other sports) teams/tournaments are run by the same organisations. I really don’t see why making comparisons between the two is so upsetting to some people.
The women in football are also referenced to as women last time I checkedThere is normally a differential. It’s the only sport I know where both are compared directly. So they are the first team to achieve back to back and last time the “hurt” of not winning since 1966 has been removed.
Women in other sports are referenced to women and vica versa.

It doesn’t even matter whether someone compares the two of course
….OK? Sorry this has rattled you I guess. The reference refers to comparisons in Sport.
When Andy Murray won the US the reference was to Fred Perry and not Virginia Wade
Conversely Radacanu was referenced to Virginia Wade not Andy Murray
Jessica Ennis Hill and KJT are not compared to Daley Thompson
….OK? Sorry this has rattled you I guess.
It's a feel good moment for the country if not nothing else. The national team winning on the European stage.
Not sure why the same tired arguments have arisen. Been done to death.
I really don't think it has that much effect tbh
Why men seem to get rattled by it I don't know. Calling it 'not proper football' or degrading the standard of it etc. I'm sure there is one thing we can all agree on and that is football is fucking brilliant, it’s the best thing in the world. Why would we not want to share this with everybody and let people play the game, showcase it to the world and let everybody have a go.
Just people coming on here to keep saying they don't care about it.I don’t see anyone rattled
I mean if you read the comments section of any news reporting on it its full of bitter angry men.I don’t see anyone rattled

You're borderline tbf.
there's bound to be knockers in women's football. it's inevitable.Just people coming on here to keep saying they don't care about it.
Doubt it. I sponsor the local women’s football team.
Football’s football. Some of the insecure comments make me laugh. Why men seem to get rattled by it I don't know. Anyone mentioning the standard I suppose will be wondering off to support Liverpool, PSG, or Madrid next season then - certainly a better level than the Cov men’s team.
There's plenty of people in Coventry and the surrounding areas who say they support CCFC as a 'second team' and glory hunt off someone in the top flight. More broadly there's loads of people who think it's weird to support clubs who don't win most of the time or who at least aren't in the Prem.Yeah I don't get it.
Folkestone Invicta here, are many levels below where we are, so they are never going to be as good, or the players be top quality. There are many levels of football, from junior, to youth, to non-league, to professional, to women's, to Premier league and international.
They are all just different.
I love watching the women's game and the women's cricket and the women's rugby too
It's just different.
And the Coventry youth winning the Sevens in Singapore - we have some good young ones coming alongWomens Euros
Lions smashing Wallabies
England Cricket playing out a great series against India
Lando Norris fighting for the F1 drivers championship
U21s Euros
It's a great year for English sport. If you don't like it then go and talk about something else and let the rest of us be proud of national achievements.

Bizarre given some of your posts.
But kudos to you if true.
Was lucky enough to be at Wembley to watch them win last time and this year watched at Truck Festival. Two screens showing it and ours was absolutely rammed.
Great atmosphere with loads of kids watching. If it inspires anyone, male or female to start playing football, that's such a good thing.

It’s amazing what they’ve achieved and the amount of lives they will change (even if it is just giving people a new hobby they wouldn’t have had otherwise).
So many young people will be inspired to start playing because of these women.
The standard will keep getting better and better, which will in turn bring in more funding and hopefully one day equal pay can be achievable. You have to be inherently sexist to not want that to be the end goal.
Lets hope so. I see a couple of potential problems they need to avoid. It’s amazing what they’ve achieved and the amount of lives they will change (even if it is just giving people a new hobby they wouldn’t have had otherwise).

The notion of equal pay is laughable. Outside the elite clubs as you even go a couple of leagues below players are unpaid and fund their own transport
