It isn't just how much stronger we now look after bringing in Rushworth. There's so many question marks against all the other sides apart from Ipswich. I certainly can't see 6 sides better than us presently although there's over a month to go of the transfer window. But we also have that same time to improve.
I agree there’s no stand out sides at the moment but the standard across the championship has improved a lot. Everyone is having a real go, no easy games.
Definitely, it's a good standard league so to be considered one of the better teams in it is great for us considering what we've been through as a club.

Well, all we do know with a reasonable amount of certainty is they turned down £5.5M, that doesn't mean they won't sell him.
Once bitten twice shy! They'll want to see how he gets on for sure, we've also got time to see if Dovin comes back. Dovin might well be ok in January but I'm not expecting much from him this season and, hopefully, the club will ease him back gently now we seem to have bought ourselves some time. ACL injuries can be nasty things!

If Trafford had gown to Newcastle or any other club aside the buy back clause Man City also had a clause that would give them 20% of the transfer fee . Hence the fee being lower .
A bit like that Philogene guy then, basically like a year's loan?
The deal when they sold him to Burnley was also if another club bid for Trafford, MC had to be informed and they could match the other clubs bid and talk to Trafford. City often insert a buy back clause and % of future fees
