I agree there’s no stand out sides at the moment but the standard across the championship has improved a lot. Everyone is having a real go, no easy games.
Very good usually but this is a season where the Prem money doesn't look like having as much an effect.
Ipswich look very strong for the Championship.
The jury is out with Southampton. New manager that could do well or not so well. Just lost their best defender for free with many others wanting to leave.
Leicester are in trouble in several ways. They've mortgaged their remaining Prem money to keep going this season. Most of this will go on paying very high wages on players that now don't want to be there but nobody wants to take these players on because of the silly money they got offered. Vardy has gone so they have a lot of goals to replace. Then they have the points deduction to contend with.
Sheffield United are on reduced Prem money and on the last year of it. They spent heavily on loans last season. They didn't go up so have nothing to show for it. These players now need replacing. Hamer will now want out and they will be lucky to get their money back for him. If he leaves they will look an average side going for the playoffs.
Luton
Out of the promoted sides Birmingham are an unknown. They could do well. They could be mid table.
So onto our rivals last season. Can anyone think of a squad better than ours?
