Not a fan of his music and he was a Villa fan, but apart from that RIP

I met a session musician who would tour with real top bands all over the world. I asked him who he met in the business. He said give me a name and I'll tell you if I have met played with or partied with. So after a few names I asked who was the best guy you spent time with. Without thinking he said Ozzy, said he was the kindest, funniest, maddest but the most genuine man. He said what you see was what you got a lovely soul by the sounds of it.

Villa or not top man.. RIP.

Devastated. My mum gave me Paranoid on vinyl (along with Fire -Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Deep Purple) when I was about 6. Been teaching drums for years and Black Sabbath is a go to for me.

Really sad news. I saw videos of him before the Villa Park gig and you could tell he probably didn't have long.
Held out for that last gig and raised £140 million for charity along with it

Grew up with the Beatles & the Stones changing the face of music, then Sabbath came along. Wow. What a game changer. Loved them.

RIP Ozzy

Sold my 1st pressings of Black Sabbath and Paranoid some years ago for £100’s. Saw them at Jephson Pavilion in Leamington before they made the big time.
